Austin Goosby will play as a CG next year, but secondary to portal get. Off guard/wing that can shoot it, but also has defensive ability Back up center with experience. Guard depth piece, has to be able to shoot it and handle ball pressure. Probably another roll player, as it stands today. Gerry will Goosby run the point ? I thought he is more of scorer/shooter? Bevohorns Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago @Gerry HamiltonHow true is this ? We are in the highest category on Pete sankos latest NIL article and it makes no sense but thought Id ask. This roster doesnt seem remotely close to the others we are being compared to. The $10 million club Last year’s transfer portal cycle was defined by programs awash in cash overspending to land top talent. The market was inflated, with schools able to spend freely before revenue sharing and the NIL Go clearinghouse took effect. A handful of schools touched the $10 million mark in 2024–25, but that number spiked this past season. Speaking with sources across the country, among the teams set to play in the Sweet 16 over the next two days, Arkansas, Duke, Houston, Michigan, St. John’s and Texas all spent at least $10 million. Arkansas, Duke and Houston all went big on their high school recruiting classes this season. The Blue Devils landed five-star forward Cam Boozer, who is a favorite to win National Player of the Year. John Calipari landed five-star point guard Darius Acuff, who has developed into one of the sport’s stars over the last six weeks. Houston has leaned on top freshmen Chris Cenac and Kingston Flemings. Michigan went big in the portal, landing UAB center Yaxel Lendeborg, while St. John’s retained forward Zuby Ejiofor. The spending among the elite class of college basketball is not expected to slow down. As one source told On3, the “golden price point is $12 to $15 million” for next year’s rosters. Quote
