It has been reported - or at least hinted at - elsewhere that this is exactly how Sark would view it. I'm hoping he can evolve, grow, change his mind, because I agree with you that he should not view it that way. Frankly, I'm surprised he doesn't view it as the next logical step in his path towards being a great HC. It seems odd to me that Sark can't recognize that going against the grain of what the GOAT (Saban) and another HOF/all-timer (Carroll) did is probably not the ideal direction to go.

That made me laugh because it stung so badly.

Sark has impressed me more as a head coach than an offensive coordinator during his time in ATX. That doesn't mean he's nailed every hire, but he's done a great job getting this program elevated from the Strong/Herman mess he inherited. I wish Saban or Kiffin or Carroll or someone he trusts would convince him that hiring an OC wouldn't diminish "the reason [he] was hired." Yes, you were hired to call a great O, Sark. But, beyond that, you were hired to win. Maybe teaching your O to young, hungry coaches - as Saban, Smart, etc. did in their programs - is a good thing!

I think the primary reason that the idea of Muschamp as a HC is a non-starter is that Muschamp does not want to be a HC.

A 24-team playoff is retarded. So the NCAA will definitely do it.
