Moderators CJ Vogel Posted yesterday at 06:22 PM Moderators Posted yesterday at 06:22 PM Del Conte speaking on marquee out of conference games and the inconsistency between the committee rewarding and detracting as a result of playing those games when it comes to the CFP picture. "Two years ago we played Michigan and at Alabama and those two games helped get us into the Playoff if you recall. It was the strength of your schedule and your non-conference. Those games mattered. When we left for the SEC, from the Big 12 to the SEC, one of those discussions was keeping those games on – one we had already played and had a return game to play. I firmly believe that college football loves the big games. Our kids want to play those big games, but they also want to be rewarded for those games if you play in those games. At the end of the day, part of what those metrics are – is a 9–3, or 10–2 schedule and say these guys won ten games, but they lost to these two teams, better than a team that lost three games and had a challenging schedule with who they played. I need more clarity on that." 1 Quote
