Moderators CJ Vogel Posted 20 minutes ago Moderators Posted 20 minutes ago Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports has reported Texas freshman RB Derrek Cooper is expected to be a gametime decision for tomorrow's matchup with Ohio State. Cooper has suited up in practice throughout the week, as @Gerry Hamilton and myself have reported. However, his participation in practice has been significantly limited. We will see what type of contribution Texas gets from the freshman running back tomorrow. 4 Quote
NothinButDaHorns34 Posted 14 minutes ago Posted 14 minutes ago I’d bet he doesn’t play, But i thought the same thing about goosby last week and he played. Quote
Andy Arnold Posted 10 minutes ago Posted 10 minutes ago I’m fine with being cautious. I just don’t think the risk is worth the gain. We have a great stable of backs. Past RB2 he’s not so much better to merit the risk of losing several games. Quote
akhookem Posted 7 minutes ago Posted 7 minutes ago Something tells me Sark is all in about this game and that if Cooper can go even if it’s just for 5 or less short yardage carries and push enough off of his ankle enough to push the pile he’ll play. Quote
Tres Comas Posted 4 minutes ago Posted 4 minutes ago List half the roster as questionable and the other half as probable. And change it every week. Quote
Dread-headed Texan Posted just now Posted just now Let him go through workouts and if he's feeling good enough to play let him go out there, but if not he can rest a couple of weeks when we'll really need him. If Texas winning this game is dependent on a freshman running back, we are further away from the main goal than I expected. Quote
