Boazman0621 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago This is more of a question based on the fact that I didn't play football beyond the eighth grade, lol. Is the Texas defense so good that it is actually causing issues with the Texas offense? I say this more so from a collegiate baseball background, where every once in a while, when the pitchers got hot and we had inner squads, they were mowing down the team, and morale wasn't where it was. I know there have been talks that things have been even and/or the offenses have been up and down. They've had their days, that type of stuff, but is it a real possibility that, for the past two years, the defense has been so good that it actually is having an effect on the offense progressing and growing? 1 Quote

Either way in the boat of offense needing to pick it up for "the standard is the standard" talk. 1 Quote

Agree, I also wonder if the intensity that Muschamp brings always pushing and trying to win is getting the offense frustrated. We heard about Josiah Sharma whoopin the interior on scout team this week. The standard is physicality and intensity and you’re right the offense IS NOT meeting that standard. You know it’s like getting in the cage with someone who insists on throwing 90 from 30 feet and is plunking you every 5th pitch and expecting that you’ll be ready to go hit in a game (this has actually happened to me and we literally fought because I wa la the only one who would even get in the cage with him).
