Rasheem Biles posts career performance amidst personal loss

Texas LB Rasheem Biles recorded eight tackles, including four tackles for a loss, three sacks, and two forced fumbles in a 31-3 Texas in over Mississippi State on Saturday night. And he did it with a heavy heart as his uncle passed away earlier this week ahead of the game, according to a release from Biles' camp. 

"The recognition and production speak to the player he has become," the press released stated. "The circumstances surrounding this moment speak to the person behind the helmet—a young man navigating grief while continuing to show up for his teammates and represent his family." 

Biles also lost his grandmother this past summer, one year to the day his grandfather passed. 

The Longhorns LB, recently named a Butkus Award semifinalist, is living up to the every bit of the billing he brought with him from Pitt to Texas.
