You realize Calipari is not a good coach anymore. His offense is ancient.

Completely realize it. It was just an example. And players still gravitate towards him. My point was had he been hired, the amount of Texas NIL would have increased. It would have been part of what he demanded before he signed.

He was using him as an example, as in, a name with a certain cachet would open more wallets than RT.  Terry is a nice guy, excellent assistant coach, but as our head honcho he is a drag on the program.  If we can't attract a big name coach, we'll have to hire someone who has shown the ability to do more with less.  If said coach is successful in their first couple of seasons, he'll win the money over.

RT is having to prove he can make Texas a name like Alabama. The budget given isn’t comparable until they see this year. If he does something special then the NIL goes up. If he is just average then the money either stays the same or increases on the condition that the following year he gets very deep in the tournament.

It was the money men that pressured Del Conte to hire Terry. How is he a drag on the program?

He has recruited lights out and has 4 tournament wins on his resume. You anti-Terry people really just make up new BS to complain about every day. You keep thinking you can build a roster like on NBA 2K, but forget how Arkansas imploded last year doing exactly that.

You have no idea if that would have happened. You keep thinking Texas has spent little on NIL while forgetting that Texas brought in a lottery pick for close to 7 figures and surrounded him with five 4-star portal transfers and another Top 75 kid in Codie. You think those guys are coming here for free? You think Shedrick and Weaver are playing for free? If Arkansas wants to waste $7M on an ancient coach to waste their money, why do you care so much?

I don’t keep thinking Texas spent little. NIL is around 4 to 4.5.

Seriously man post better. Nobody on this site or anyone with a brain thinks players are free. Stick to the topic and not the utterly ridiculous questions.
