  1. Who is going to be his coach? It is not going to be the worst pitching coach at Texas in the last 20 years.
  2. It doesn't hurt that Simon is thought to be the better prospect on most of the recruiting services. I understand Davison's decision to prioritize early playing time over NFL development. It's not like we had a guy on the team that waited his turn patiently for 2 seasons and produced when needed go has the 1st RB in the draft, or another guy that was a STs demon/3rd down back get drafted as well. To each his own. And for those wondering about 2 back classes, well, I remember the West Virginia game in Sarkisian's 1st season when we didn't have the services of Robinson or Brooks and both Johnson and Keilan didn't finish the game healthy.
  3. We've had 4 RBs taken in the last 2 drafts, with the #1 RB taken in back to back years. Blue is likely going to declare and get drafted after this season, and we have Baxter, Clark, Gibson, and Wisner still with eligbility. We ain't going to get them all, but we will absolutely develop the ones we do get into NFL players.
  4. It was the play that should have a 2 point conversion to win the game in the 1st OT, but the playcalling in the RZ was very bad that game.
  5. Is Williams even visiting Colorado? So far, he's visited OU and Texas. He plans on visiting LSU and maybe Oregon. That would be a shocker to commit there without a visit.
  6. 13 straight offensive players. Damn. I read that Shefter thinks if Murphy falls into the 20s, the Texans would be a team to watch to trade back into the 1st round to get him. He'd be the perfect fit with Anderson and Hunter.
  7. Earlier I said that this current roster really looks like that FF Miami team. Well, Omier would be further confirmation. He does have a DNC, so he's probably going to Arkansas.
  8. I like the idea of Pope, Larry, Mark, Johnson, Kent, and Rytis playing a lot of small ball lineups.
  9. So, every player that has visited Texas has committed to Texas save for Garrison and the forward from Air Force. Another stellar recruiting job by the Texas staff.
  10. He doesn't do this when his mind is in a normal state. Just a complete fraud of a coach since day one.
  11. Avila is announcing toay with no visits. St. Louis it is.
  12. Wow, Duke has now lost it's 7th player to the portal. The Jon Scheyer regime is falling apart. I don't care what talent he is bringing in because you aren't winning the NCAAT with a team full of freshmen.
  13. Going to be interesting to see how Self does in the new era of college basketball. He's not the only person paying anymore. His 1st portal team was an abject failure.
  14. Kent will play Cunningham's role from last year, but much better because he's more of an offensive threat than Cunningham ever was.
  15. When Williams goes to the OU spring game this weekend, will he have to pay for admittance like everyone else.
  16. Mitchell went from 40% FT in year one to nearly 60% in year two. I feel good about the coaches developing that FT percentage.
  17. How many threads are you going to post this utter nonsense on?
  18. Those penalties don't include 2 other ongoing investigations.
  19. Michigan going to be vacating a lot of wins and the title soon.
  20. Lulz. Terry's 1st full season at Texas was a success based on the historic outcomes of the program. I agree with Gerry that this season is a big one for Terry to apply what he learned in season 1 to make changes and adapt. That will determine if Terry gets another contract. Anyone thinking Terry is getting fired any time soon for winning NCAAT games is just stupid.
  21. Holy cow dude, do you even follow Texas hoops. I was talking about Tre Johnson, the 5-star 2025 NBA lottery pick. I wouldn't compare Kent to Allen because Kent has never shown the ability to make plays for others in 4 seasons, plus he's a better floor spacer than Allen. The only way they are similar is they both play below the rim, same with Cunningham.
  22. Larry is the PG. Pope is a CG, Weaver is a SG, Mark and Johnson are college wings that can run the offense for short stretches. My guess, is that the starting 5 next year if Pope comes is Larry, Pope, Mark, Johnson, and a big. Kent would be playing the Cunningham role, where Brock played wing, stretch 4 and stretch 5. Kent is much more of an offensive threat than Cunningham was.
  23. Larry, Pope, Johnson, Mark, Avlia/Shderick/Garrison is a holy moly starting 5. If Texas does add Pope, they are playing fast with multiple 4 guard lineups next season. Kinda like the Miami team that beat us for the FF in 2023. Pack -> Larry Wong -> Pope Poplar -> Mack Miller -> Johnson Omier -> any big we want though we could see Terry using Kent with that guard lineup and having huge lanes because of the ability of all 5 guys to shoot from BTA. If you think Johnson (for a baseline) comes in and makes 35% and 80% on a decent amount of attempts, you are looking at a very potent lineup. That would be around 38% on 18+ 3PA and 82% on 18+ FTA.
