HookemTexas Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 I read some random article on Auburn during one of my can't sleep scrolling sessions, can't remember where but that's not relevant. It said they have one of the best big 3 greatest player representations - Football - Bo Jackson, Baseball - Frank Thomas, Basketball - Charles Barkley. Being the homer I am, I was thinking Texas has just as good if not better and comparatively would be interested in how that fares against other universities. My list for Texas would be: Football - Earl Campbell, Baseball - Roger Clemens, Basketball - Kevin Durant 1 Quote
Derek Handler Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Read up on Bobby Layne along time ago, interesting guy on and off the field. He won 3 Championships in NFL. Long time ago but might be our best "Pro" ever. 1 Quote
Hashtag Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 (edited) Has to be: Football: Earl Campbell, Top 75 player according to many publications in NFL history and he's our first Heisman winner. Honorable mention are Nobis and Layne. Basketball: Kevin Durant and it's not even close Baseball: Roger Clemens and it's not even close Edited June 17, 2024 by Hashtag 1 Quote
Red Five Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Contrarian: Depending on the criteria, you could go with Tom Landry for football. Baseball and basketball seem pretty set. 1 Quote
