Moderators CJ Vogel Posted January 29 Moderators Share Posted January 29 The NFL Draft conversation is about to get louder and louder over the next couple of days. There are eight Texas Longhorns participating in the All-Star games in preparation for the Draft. Reese's Senior Bowl WR Jordan Whittington OL Christian Jones DL T'Vondre Sweat DL Byron Murphy LB Jaylan Ford East-West Shrine Bowl RB Jonathon Brooks TE Ja'Tavion Sanders CB Ryan Watts **** Byron Murphy will not be participating this week as he is still recovering from a late season injury. Ja'Tavion Sanders and Jonathon Brooks are not participating in workouts either according to the East-West Shrine game roster. CB Ryan Watts turned on the jets in the first practice session. This was a question mark for Watts, good to see him answering some questions ahead of the Combine. By money opportunities for Jaylan Ford, Jordan Whittington and Ryan Watts. justwinbaby
Watts is fast, hopefully he’ll find a way to get drafted to the right team and system
Bobby Burton
Hope Watts proves the doubters, including me, wrong. I didn’t think he had the speed and change of direction for corner in the NFL.

I didn’t think he had the speed and change of direction for corner in the NFL. I (no expert at all) think he will make a team that can afford to take a larger (stronger) CB/N that can play physically at the line of scrimmage if that team has capable cover CBs already on the team, plus his potential to contribute to the run and maintain the cover ability on an athletic TE (Kelce, Kittle, Bowers, etc) might be attractive to some defensive coaches.

Moderators CJ Vogel Posted January 30 Author Moderators Share Posted January 30 T'Vondre Sweat opted to not weigh-in today at the Reese's Senior Bowl. Not a big deal, though a bit curious.
Pyro Fiend
Byron Murphy, Jaylan Ford, and Jordan Whittington are not listed on the Senior Bowl roster. Murphy supposedly opted out because of an injury. No idea why Ford and Whitt aren't participating. Christian Jones has surprisingly good measurables. He's got the 4th longest arms out of all the Senior Bowl OL at 34 7/8th". The NFL looks for 34+ so if he shows some athleticism in the combine/pro day, I believe he will be drafted.
Derek Handler
Wonder when the 40 will be replaced with mph at combine?
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted January 31 Author Moderators Share Posted January 31 What a win by T'Vondre Sweat in 1-on-1's. Soon thereafter, Sweat whoops up on former Texas A&M OL Layden Robinson.
Moderators CJ Vogel Posted January 31 Author Moderators Share Posted January 31 RT Christian Jones took a bit of a step back after a dominating day one performance. Probably went 50-50 with his 1-on-1 pass protection sets. Still, a very strong week of play being put on film for No. 70.
