Moderators Blake Munroe Posted August 4 Moderators Share Posted August 4 Former high school coaches such as Texas Tech's Joey McGuire and UTSA's Jeff Traylor believe a June Signing Day benefits both recruits and college programs. College lifers such as Texas's Steve Sarkisian, Texas A&M's Mike Elko and North Texas's Eric Morris, however, are opposed. “I think last year, the high school player was not protected, where the signing date was in the middle of December and the portal opened and some schools were dropping high school kids because they were taking the portal kid,” Sarkisian said. “I think now, we’re still protecting the high school kid in early December and then we can get ourselves into the portal.” Read the full story here: https://www.texasfootball.com/article/2024/07/30/fbs-coaches-in-texas-are-divided-on-potential-june-signing-day

Derek Handler
If you keep unlimited transfers, signing day doesn't really matter. If it is in June, you'll still have kids getting out of NLI's in December or before freshman year. June date puts school at a disadvantage i would think.
