Note on Javion Hilson (Friday 10:14am CST)

Recommended Posts

Cálmate guey, Cál-Ma-Te. All is fine, that ugly skinny QB that flipped because Michigan got a real athlete from LSU he’s a perfect fit for CS. IF bike on wants to play there and not with alSimmins, Burke, Vasek, Orogbo, Zina, and Jackson on the edges that’s on him I think we’ll manage.

Not surprised at all. Doesn’t matter if Hilson is a silent. Aggy will throw the kitchen sink at him and likely get him in the end. They will finish strong with Rogers maybe fasusi. They are also all in on a borderline 5 star wr and could finish close to a top 5 class. Ugh

Love the doom and gloom.

Not at all.  Our class will still be better.  They’ve just got some recruiting momentum and we have to be realistic.  They are not gonna just sit there and let us get 3 of the top EDGE rushers in the country.  We are fighting to prevent them from getting 2 of the top OT in the country.  If you could bet on it at this point aggy looking better for the 2 OTs than we are for the 3 EDGEs. Just need to win and collieville Saturday or these battles will continue to be more even in 2026.

That’s why I never bought into the “he’s all about development” statements.  You don’t make a big, late push if it’s centered around development.

He is. If a prospects feels like he can develop at one of three schools, and one school goes way above and beyond ... it's a very big deal.

Hilson will be developed very well at either school in Texas IMO.

I’m more so saying if there is a late push to a&m, “development” isn’t the reason.  Or if it is, then he was probably leaning harder to a&m than people realized.

A&M just flipped the Cocoa 2026 QB who is re-classifying to 2025. @Gerry Hamilton Any idea how close Javion is with his QB? Moves the needle?

That's not a deal breaker either way. Meaning if Hart had stayed in 2026 and signed with Michigan ... Hilson wasn't going to Michigan. Hilson isn't following a QB or teammate.

Hilson goes to A&M it will be development, ability to start the development on the field early and A&M went way above and beyond.
