Some random CFB facts from the past week or so that I compiled for our OTF group chat. Thought I would share here as well:

- Notre Dame’s win over Georgia was their first NY6 bowl win in 31 YEARS.

- Georgia’s loss was their first non-SEC loss in six years.

- Favorites in the CFP are now 8-0 straight up and 7-1 against the spread. Texas scraping by Arizona State is the 1.

- Notre Dame is the first team ever to beat an AP-ranked opponent in 6 different months in the same season

- For the first time ever, no Heisman semifinalist made the CFP semis

- Ohio State has advanced through the CFP by an average winning margin of 22.5 points

- The ACC finished bowl season with a 2-11 record

- Georgia Tech was the most watched ACC team this season, averaging 3.1 mil viewers per game

- Not a single team featured in Allstate Bowl commercials won their bowl game

- Not a single conference champion won a game in the CFP

- The SEC has gone 20-10 against other P5 conferences this year. The next best conference is the Big 10 at 13-12.

I noticed Bobby said that after Texas won the SWC and NC for the 1969 season and the 1970 Cotton Bowl...the teams finishing #2-#4 in the final AP poll are the same teams playing in this year's CFP final four. Some of the true Blue Bloods of CFB.

The 1970 Cotton Bowl was a big deal at the time mainly because Notre Dame had a policy of not participating in Bowl Games back then and made an exception to play #1 Texas in Dallas.
