Bleacher report 1st round mock draft

Bleacher report released a 1st round mock draft today and they have Barron going to 49ers at 11.  Would be a good landing spot for him.  Craziest take i've read though is Banks at 18.  His draft spot isn't what is crazy - they are saying that he is being looked at now more as a guard.  That is absouletly ridiculous in my eyes.

Dallas needs WR and Oline help rhe most.

You can get a good back in later rounds. Probably is Dallas got NO ONE last year.

Dowdle has been alright and kind of a pleasant surprise as a 1000 yard back. He is absolutely not the biggest issue for the Cowboys.

he is a h free agent and longest rush was like. 27 yards. he is not explosive or dynamic at all

I would love to see how well mock drafts in January correlate with the actual draft, I'm going to google it.

There's a Consensus Big Board site that looks at several hundred mock drafts and calculates the most likely results.  You can compare past years and drafts and see how well (or not) the actual first round draft compares with the 'consensus'.  I checked it once, I think 26 or 27 first rounders were actually taken in round one (though not necessarily by the predicted team), most of the other predicted 1st rounders in the first few picks of round 2. This actually seems to be more accurate than Mel and the other gurus.

You can check it out here ... https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2025/consensus-big-board-2025

For Texas they have 13 players listed in the Top 256 with Banks and Williams in round one, Barron, Bond and Ewers in round two.  https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/colleges/2025/texas-longhorns  (couldn't help but compare this to A&M since they are next in line at this site - even with the highest ranked recruiting class in history A&M only has 4 going in the Top 256 and two of them transferred in)

Nice! Thanks for sharing this, I googled it, but it's a complicated question...

I still don't think Milroe will go above Quinn, but the NFL does dumber things every year.

Texas has gone up against 31 of the top 150 this season ...prior to Ohio State who has 12 in top 150

To quote myself (haha) - while looking at what Gerry said about Georgia just now I noticed that in today's version Barron is now listed above Cam Williams in round one, so we currently have three first rounders.  This 'Consensus' is made up of several hundred data points and changes every time new mocks are released, so it can change as new info is added and old mocks are removed.  In case anyone is wondering why I had Barron in the 2nd round - that was so yesterday 🙂
