So was Miller for taking the murder weapon to Miles.

Yet he was kept on the team.

Because winning mattered.

To Oats, to Crimson Slime, to local prosecutors protecting crimson slime.

Auburn player's foot was down.  That should be Texas ball.

We will agree to disagree

You either foul right away or you play defense to the end.  You don't foul on the perimeter after letting 20 seconds run off the clock.

I can’t tell if that is Terry or Shedrick being terrible

Fully expect this to continue to go downhill in the second half

You definitely can’t predict the future. They lost by five.

Hell of a game by Kaluma.

Shedrick played a good game.  Kent was a no-show.  If he doesn't step up, we will have problems as the year goes on.  I commented when he first landed him that his rebounding numbers took a huge jump in 2023-24 and would likely revert to the mean, but we need a lot more from him inside than we have seen the last two games.

Pretty good comeback.  Still a tough loss, but the comeback suggests this season might still be salvaged.

And you don't hire a coach who didn't discipline a player who took the murder weapon to the killer.

Unless you are one sick puppy.

Nice comeback. Enjoyed being at the game near the end anyway.
The fouling was definitely poorly done. Again, either no plan or bad execution. Hard to know but disappointing none the less

The reasoning behind that is he’s a one on one player. However, he has turned out to be a pleasant surprise. He talks to players and works hard. You can’t expect him to score thirty every night though.

He’s been one of our few bright spots.

Absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. They fought and I am proud of the kids. Unfortunately this is where the A&M loss hurts.

Only problem I had was the Pope three attempt. It was off balance and had no chance of going in.

“They still lost, Got dominated, But not by much.” Is all i read. Still need a new head coach.

You said something that was clearly wrong. “Got dominated, but not by much?” That’s not even possible.

damn, @bierce, do you moonlight in experimental literature?  That was one hell of a garden path sentence.

I expected more from Mark unless he’s still hurt somehow. This is a guy we needed averaging between 15-20 a night.

They literally waited until he was completely healthy to play him. They just don’t have that point guard to run the offense. I think RT finally said I am going with Larry. He was in the game for most of the half.

B.A. Biology.

M.A. English Literature

J.D.

Picked it up somewhere along the way.

But the weirdest stuff I've ever read was in the trial transcripts.

ahhh, it's legalese! 🤘😜🤘

He’s an extremely knowledgeable poster. He does volleyball game threads here on his own. Nobody asks him to do that. He started the game thread here probably because he thought there would not be one. Really good guy.

Damn it.  I spent a large part of my career telling court reporters to stop spreading rumors that I was a nice guy because other lawyers would try to take advantage of me.

Now I have to fight the same fight here?

whoa, whoa, whoa! Experimental literature and garden path sentences and facility with legalese is high compliment from my perspective. I'm a @bierce fan going back to IT and maybe even 247. Y'all have a great night, see you on the next basketball thread🤘

Was the kid a bad kid at the time of recruitment?? Likely not. That’s not on Oates. There is a lot more to this just saying… Well Oates recruited a kid who became a bad apple.

Sark recruited that Keithron Lee kid while at Texas… he had an armed robbery im pretty sure.
Is he bad?

UT lets in kids to the University who end up doing bad things. Is the university bad?

The Oates thing doesn’t seem to be a recurring issue so it’s a non issue.

Money is not an issue right now. More money than ever is flowing in and the anthletic department is making 15 ish million off the playoffs right now.

You think Nate Oats leaves a rabid fan base that travels, solid recruiting, huge NIL and a completely supportive donor base to come here. They will match any raise to keep him.

So he leaves everything he has to come to virtually no fan base, a budgeted NIL a fractured donor base to come here? And have to face Alabama every year. You’re thinking Texas can just throw money and people come running. That’s football not basketball.

We could discuss your sabbatical on some boat that you jumped off of right before the basketball season started a few years back. That’s probably worse.
