Texas has hired Josh White in a PR/Social Media role. White has spent the last few years at Miami, where he served in an associate director / athletics communications role. He was basically the primary communications contact and social media manager for the Miami Hurricanes baseball team.

Very minor news in the grand scheme of things, but still noteworthy.

@Blake Munroe with the season right around the corner.. do you guys think we could do a baseball livestream soon ? I feel bad for always asking questions during coffee and football 😂

We definitely can do that. Let me see who I can get as a guest or two, so it’s not just @CJ Vogel and I rambling.

So bummed about Longhorn network.  Won’t really feel the loss until this baseball season. Felt it a little in Volleyball.

Are you going to be doing some Baseball stuff on Youtube this year, @Blake Munroe? I'm trying to get more into Texas sports and Baseball is one of those. Do you or anyone else have any recommendations where I can learn some of the intricacies of the sport? Some of the stuff really goes over my head when it comes to stats and all that, lol.

There are a bunch of great books about baseball Men At Work by George Will is a good one. Really anything he’s written about baseball is great. Watch some YouTube videos of Ted Williams, Tony Gwynn, George Brett, or Pete Rose talk about hitting. Watch some videos of Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, Nolan Ryan, Bob Gibson, Bob Feller, or Pedro Martinez talking about pitching. Ozzie Smith, Ernie Banks, Willie Mays, Johnny Bench, Pudge Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, Joe Morgan, Mike Schmidt, Cal Ripken Jr., Ron Washington, Terry Francona, Joe Torre, or Dusty Baker talking defense and strategy.
Here’s a video of a Tony Gwynn hitting drill. https://www.facebook.com/reel/3856983741280953/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

Here’s my man Ron Washington teaching infield https://www.facebook.com/reel/303501322456812?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

With the excitement surrounding Schloss and the first year of playing in the SEC, I don’t see how there’s any way we couldn’t!

As for the second part of your question, read Pure Baseball by Keith Hernandez. It’s on Amazon.  Also watch a lot of MLB Network. They actually teach a ton on there, way better than the NFL Network.

Blake, as I'm sure you guys know, Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker passed away yesterday. I loved watching him on TV when I was a kid.

RIP to a legend. Watched Major League the other day for the 1000th time and he's definitely a gem in it.
