    He's not that great of a QB but some of his most dangerous abilities are his way of extending plays and his toughness. I think he's overrated but the kid excels at what he's good at. Maybe at a better program with better players around him, hell even a better offensive system, he'll thrive. Look at what Chambliss did under Kiffin and he was a D2 QB.

    Why would we want to willingly play Tech? We'll play them if we have to (like we did in the Big 12) or in a playoff situation/bowl game scenario. But in no way, shape or form are they worth scheduling. McGuire got in his feelings because he knows his schedule is piss poor.

    I don't mind playing tough OOC opponents, we're not scared to play them even when we were down. No reason to change that now since we're up. But I don't want to play ND because they literally have a whole schedule full of cupcakes and skate on by during the season. Either join a conference or you should not be allowed to compete for the playoffs.

    I don't think many kids are Kelvin Banks level. That dude came in late, took the starting job and was one of the best T's in college ball for 3 years straight.

    Not to pile on the guy, but you don't fix addiction in 30-40 days. I've seen it in my own life with people around me, they relapse all the time, have to fight the addiction daily, etc. He's just going to magically "heal" in a short time frame and then jump straight back into the beast with zero temptation? I don't think so.

    I just lost what little of my IQ I have left reading those comments lol. We're not ducking Teech, there is no point in playing them. They're not a rival, they're not important and can only be competitive by over paying literally every single one of their players. This will back fire soon. Sure we had some stinkers last year, but still managed 10 wins and just barely missed out on the playoffs. Tech played barely anyone and still couldn't do sh*t in the playoffs. The comments weren't even directed at them, it was directed at the group of 5 schools getting automatic bids. This is how insecure they are lol.

    I think people took some of his mistakes and just ran with it. He was a shining light in a tough period for Texas football.

    I'm not a baseball fan, so excuse my ignorance. But from what I've followed a long this year, this team is wildly inconsistent lol. One minute they look great and the next they look like they can't do much of anything right. Not sure if that's normal in baseball, considering how many games you play and how long the season can be but just my uneducated observation. Hope they get it sorted and make a deep run.

    Better hope that 4 million dollar LT can keep him upright. I will be interested to see how he does on a bigger stage/better competition. He's very athletic and mobile but I don't think he's that great of a QB. I hope we beat his ass when we play them.

    If they want to go a step further, stop letting teams like JMU and that, into the playoffs. Make a separate playoff for those teams if you must but t hey shouldn't be playing with the big dogs, imo. I'm probably one of the few who thinks that but G5 teams should not be in the P4 playoffs.

    He should be 100% punished and set an example for the rest of the players. Show some backbone. If he does get found guilty, what will Tech do at QB?

    Biggest thing for the RB's this year, will be if the OL can open holes/lanes for them to cut back up into. They struggled a lot last year with that and even creating a pocket at times. But I do love what he brings to the table and the 1/2 punch of him and the guy we got from Arizona State is exciting. Plus even the talent behind them.

    I didn't even realize he transferred from Euless Trinity to North Crowley lol. Their DB room at North Crowley is absolutely loaded for the 2026 season.

    Arch had his rough spots, but as we can see he had some failings around him, too. Not just from the WR's. On the OL and with the running game.

    Is this a squad that can make it to Omaha?

    Going to be hard to keep Kiffin at bay. He's a great offensive minded guy, similar to Coach Sark.

    No, I think he was the reason we almost did make the playoffs. I'm just saying he started off the year very rough.

    Arch was playing horribly early on. He was missing such easy throws that had everyone scratching their head. But he eventually got it going and damn near carried the team to the playoffs. This years team is likely going to see a lot more 1st/2nd round talent in the 2027 draft and will give us a better chance for the playoffs if we can figure it out and not shoot ourselves in the foot. Lot of really talented teams on the schedule.

    Maybe, but I haven't seen enough from him to suggest that is the case.

    Seems like with the downgrade at TE over the last couple of years, might be time to break out some 10 personnel.

    Not that worried about him needing to play. Best to take your team, get your body right and get after it in the fall/next spring. No reason to rush it.

    I really hope that the D is amazing as people are saying. Because it was great under PK (don't care what anyone says there).

    Looks like he'll eat up double and triple teams no problem. Which will make the pass rush much better. Looking forward to seeing how it translates to an actual game.
