Avishai Schiff
Not a great run for his 5*'s lately (Cook, Hudson, Stewart) 2
SB21
Can’t really blame it on him. Training them is one thing. They make their own decisions and listen to more people form their inner circles I’m sure than just him 7

cdibbs
Not his fault, but does seem to be some interesting issues correlating between those 3.
TheContractor12
See your point in Cool and Hudson , not saying it’s his fault. Stewart has been decent for Oregon right, not sure his numbers but starting and producing positively?

HookedOnTF
Skills training might help shake a DB, but hopefully there's a mental training component too - learning the playbook, being a good teammate, accepting 5 or fewer targets per game, chasing greatness in the craft over media likes/followers and the biggest paycheck... Which seems to be part of Texas' eval, and I bet something Sark and Hooks have discussed. Edited January 16 by HookedOnTF
FatherofMinky
I agree. Margin Hooks was posting some noise after Cook left Texas about how great Cook still is etc… if I’m not mistaken. I would say based off the track record of his latest trainees, he doesn’t instill much of a sense of accountability, humility, mental toughness, or work ethic in the young men he’s training. A coach is there to provide the mental guidance just as much as the physical guidance to ensure success of the student 🤘🏼 Maybe I’m being overly critical & harsh though… I don’t know much about the man except the products he has put out lately aren’t exactly shining examples of success…. Though on the flip side of course, everyone is accountable for their own actions & their own behavior…. Avishai Schiff
To be clear, I am not making any judgement of Hooks, just found it an interesting confluence of events.
jonbailey
I think I remember someone saying that Hooks discourages guys he has trained from attending the same school as other trainees. My guess is so they can maximum targets. That doesn’t scream team player.
