A name to know ... one of the nations best

According to a longtime source in the Midwest, the Texas Longhorns are expected to jump all in on 2027 4-star++ OT Maxwell Hiller (Coatsville, Pa./Area High).

Hiller, 6-5 and 300-pounds, received a visit from offensive line coach Kyle Flood Monday.

The source tells OTF that the Texas Longhorns will be very much in the thick of the race. In fact, Texas will be in the top 2, if not the favorite when offering.

Texas' competition will be Penn State for sure.

An unofficial visit this spring is expected.

He is relentless.  I lived in Pennsylvania for a few years and Penn State rules there.  Most people bleed blue and white.  Their PA competition is Pitt, Penn, Temple, etc.  Eastern PA is primarily Penn State country for fans and Coatesville is a suburb of Philly.

Is there a Texas connection?

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s not one at all. As gerry has said texas is a “cool school” again. NFL draft picks, individual player awards and two years in a row of playoff appearances have helped that a lot.

Question, if his last name was Hitler, would we still recruit him?

Asking for a friend.
