  1. The woman sponsor of the bill seemed to insinuate that the SEC and the Big10 didn't really provide input like others did and both have shot back I think. In some ways it would be good to have some legislation, but I don't think they should be legislating conference realignment, how many teams can be in a conference, etc.
  2. They want everything to be even and to share revenue. No way. The next thing you know big schools with a large fan base and a big brand will have to share the profits of all ticket sales, merchandise sales, and concession sales with schools that barely have athletic programs.
  3. we lived in oregon and had a house in Redmond for a while. that part of the state tends to be more Oregon State oriented than Oregon. The other side of the mountains seemed to be a bit more U. Oregon fans. Redmond and Bend are nice areas and Central Oregon was my favorite part of the state.
  4. I also am not sure that all batters should be waiting 2 or 3 pitches before taking a swing hoping to find their pitch. We get too many 0 and 2 counts and batters with not much bat control invariably chase bad pitches at that point. Some batters are good first pitch hitters and scouting reports tell you how good an opposing pitcher is at throwing first pitch strikes and what kind of pitch he relies.
  5. The 2 is wrong. Did that include all three games? I know of at least 5, which is also pretty bad.
  6. Yeah, it was better in some respects this year and Schloss stated several times early on that it still needs to build up more to get where he wants to be.
  7. Well, at least they won one game. The last couple of times we have come it has been 2 and barbecue. Pitching may be a bit better next year and let's hope the roster is a better hitting roster next year with a bit more overall power and more guys who can hit 300 and not below 250.
  8. No breaks tonight and cold bats against pretty good pitching. Our pitching has been pretty good too.
  9. The bottom part of the order is killing us.
  10. Hope they are still wearing their hitting shoes tonight and that the bottom of the lineup wakes up. We need a solid performance from Luke too. Will be there again tonight, but may leave tomorrow no matter what. Hook'em. Go Horns. 🤘
  11. What happened to all of the rhetoric by Tech about merely trying to help the poor young man? When they feel the heat they let him go? What a crock. It was never about helping Sorsby. It was all about helping Tech.
  12. It was incredible to see in person. He was definitely on fire. Mendoza and Pack were good too. Can’t wait to see Pack in years 2 and 3.
  13. Well, the only court ruling as of now says it is okay to do it. I hope the federal judge does not toss this until he actually is drafted or signs as a free agent. We still need some higher source to get a new law or have the ruling of the Texas judge overturned.
  14. Will be there today and am hoping that we will be able to stay for another one. The boys need to put on their hitting shoes today and be more aggressive at the plate and in the field. Hook’em. 🤘
  15. Tennessee are the worst of any we have encountered before in Omaha.
  16. Day games can be brutal in the sun. All outfield and upper deck is bad. 1st base line in the lower levels get shade early. Ticket prices are extremely high the first 2 days, but decrease daily after that. Stay out of the left field bleachers even in the night game. You will be looking into the setting sun.
  17. Today Paul Finevaum compared that video of the TT president and other's to a Saturday Night Live skit.
  18. They are also defending themselves by saying that are not part of the lawsuit, but they were the ones who filed the original paperwork to get him reinstated. Also, as pointed out Sorsby has repented and admitted his faults, but only after he was caught. I also wonder about legal action such as him betting in Texas, betting under age, and also it seems there may have been some interstate issues.
  19. Saw this on Twitter/X. Assume it is true regarding the Judge, but not sure. Tarrant County is also where Campbell lives. "The judge's son in law is a Tech alum. His daughter lives in Lubbock. Also, he worked in Tarrant County, Texas… which is 30 mins away from Cedar Hill high school, where Tech’s coach Joey McGuire won 3 state championships and was a coaching legend."
  20. I was on Twitter earlier and most posts were about the TT fiasco. Hard to find other material. A few people had skewed views and seemed to think that everyone was piling on Sorsby himself. I don't think that is true and I think most people think Sorsby needs help but still should be punished and they think that what Tech administrators, coaches, and boosters have done, along with the judge, is beyond the pale.
  21. Maybe she didn't like sharing the associate head coach position with someone new.
