Makes me appreciate more and more Sark’s willingness to wear dual hat as OC and also his ability to maintain such high level of commitment from his core coaching staff.   We’ll lose coaches each year (hope not but promotions happen for great coaches) but this is crazy what’s happening at Ohio State.

Had to be gut punch to see Knowles leave for top rival Penn St as DC in ‘lateral’ move for more money and more control of defense.

Now, offensive line coach Justin Frye bolts for NFL as Cardinals OL coach ….https://athlonsports.com/college/ohio-state-buckeyes/college-football-news-arizona-cardinals-justin-frye-osu-buckeyes

Then today it’s reported that Chip Kelly is also leaving Ryan Day for NFL as Raiders new OC.   https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/chip-kelly-joining-raiders-as-oc-former-nfl-head-coach-hired-by-las-vegas-after-lengthy-hiatus-from-league/amp/

Thats a lot of key assistants to replace quickly.   I’m looking forward to game 1 in Columbus for the rematch!!!

Hook em!! 🤘🏼🐂🧡

On the flip side it can be tricky preparing for new coordinators and a different set of players without any real film of how the coaches will use the talent they have.

Good point but I’ll take coaching stability all day especially at both coordinator positions.      Early games with new coordinators, lots of players still ‘thinking’ a lot about where they should be instead of playing free in system they know inside out.
