These coaches who’ve yet to do anything on the field but talk way too big before the season starts make me appreciate Sark’s humble but grind hard mentality.   Let the play on the field do the talking.

Mike Elko telling the Brazos County A&M Club “We are going to become the premier program in all of college football” has the same tone of desperation and wishful thinking that Joey McGuire had in 2023 when he declared “The nation is going to find out that Everything runs through Lubbock!”

Love it!! Coach Sark, keep being you and let the results speak for themselves.   We’ll let Coach Elko enjoy another 8-4 season in College Station with a beat down on November 28th!!!

Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

24 out of the past 25 years, A&M failed to win at least 10 games.

A&M hasn’t made it to the national championship game or even to the college football playoffs EVER in the past 80 years.

As CJ reported last night, 12th Man Fundraising has dropped $50m annually since 2022 ($135m down to $85m).

How does any of this point to a team that is positioned to become “the premier program in the nation”?

The schools who have legit claim to that title now or trending that way:

Georgia

Ohio State

Texas

Oregon

Bama (tbd with new coaching staff)

Texas and Oregon are not there yet.  Could include Bama if you're only taking about the DeBoer era.  Texas, Oregon, and DeBoer need to start winning natties to make that claim valid.  Right now Ohio State is 1 and Georgia 2.  Texas has a chance to knock both off and leapfrog to 1.

Agree Texas isn’t there yet.   Trending in that direction.   As the only school to make CFP semifinals the past 2 years, if the Arch era puts Sark over the top with at least 1 natty, then Texas can be in the discussion,

The funnier point of all this though is that A&M isn’t remotely in the discussion so it’s completely absurd for Elko (an unproven HC) and A&M (an unproven football team who hasn’t won a single natty in 80 years) to make that ridiculous claim.
