ChanmanV Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) The million dollar question for me right now is what would the ceiling be for this season if Quinn wasn’t chased out to an extent versus what we know of Arch now? Do you think Quinn could take this OL and offense to the playoffs? I have a hard time believing Arch can develop enough this season to get us there but Im not 100% sure Quinn could either with this OL. It will be a bad look for Sark and this staff if Arch ends up being a bust. Let’s hope that’s not the case. Edited 3 hours ago by ChanmanV Quote
diegozanna20 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago 4th year starting Quinn would be much better, no question. Arch has to let it loose. It's not easy. Maybe he's just never going to be able to. But that's what he has to do. He's too hung up on the mistakes that he makes that they compound. Right now he's feeling all the pressure of the world on his shoulders. He just has to let it loose and have fun. He has the skills to do it. He has to work through the mental side of things and he has to make it a priority to do so. He also has all the resources necessary to do so. But it's gonna be hard. When a player loses confidence it's hard. Quote
drag worm Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Quinn has us 4-0 going into the swamp. No doubt. His style of quick precision short game passing is exactly what this shitty offensive line needs to take the pressure off of it. Quote
drag worm Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago As for upside I’d see similar to the other two Quinn years. Playing for conference championships and making the semi finals of the CFP. That seems to have been his ceiling which sure looks a hell of a lot better than this train wreck. Quote

Patricia wouldn't have played Quinn the same way he played Arch, and if he was able to create the perfect game plan for a QB with 2 starts I think he would've fared well against 4th year starting Quinn. But yes, for making the playoffs we'd need just C+ / B- games from Arch every game Quote

Do we remember how Quinn looked against Georgia the first time around last year? He'd do a better job than Arch right now, no question, but he does not raise the ceiling. We're not winning a championship without Arch this year, so if we want to he has to figure it out and he has to be helped by Sark, who's making 10 million a year to do so. Again we're talking about someone's confidence here, this is not a bum QB with no talent where there's just no light at the end of the tunnel. He has all the tools and if Texas wants to win it's gonna be with Arch working through it, not giving up and not be given up on. 1 Quote

Ohio State’s front 7 this year was nothing close to what Georgia had last year. The question was about Quinn vs Arch’s upside this year. I’m saying fourth year Quinn playing a quick accurate short passing game has us in way better position than the dumpster fire we’re seeing on offense right now. Quote

Yeall well no 💩 dude what kind of take is it to say that 4th year starting quinn would do a better job than this. Letting Quinn go for Arch was always about the ceiling of Quinn, that not being of a championship team. Of course the way it looks right now we might not even make the playoffs so in retrospective it might make you think that you'd rather see another semifinal appearence rather than not making the playoffs at all. I don't really understand what we're even discussing here. Arch needs to figure it out, mentally. We're not going far without him. Quote
