    Texas Recruiting Board: Offense 

    The Texas Longhorns staff has more than 30 prospects in the 2025 cycle scheduled for official visits in June ahead of the spring evaluation period. 

    That means the recruiting board is starting to take shape, especially on offense. 

    OnTexasFootball gets the weekend started with a look at the recruiting board on offense. OTF will publish the defensive board on Sunday. 

    Quarterback

    K.J. Lacey, QBSaraland (Ala.) High #AllGasNoBrakes
    OnTexasFootball ranking:
     4-star
    What to know: Will visit April 6, attend the Texas spring game April 20 and make official visit June 21-23. Ole Miss and Auburn continue to swing away. 

    Keelon Russell, QBDuncanville (Texas) High - *SMU commit
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Russell has spoken with Steve Sarkisian and Jeff Banks, and will attend the Spring Game April 20. Florida will receive an OV June 7-9. 

     

    Running back (2) 

    Jordon Davison, RB, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Texas in a good spot with Ohio State, Alabama and Oregon the main contenders. An official visit to Texas June 21023 is expected. 

    Rickey Stewart, RB, Tyler (Texas) Chapel Hill
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Texas leads big ahead of  April 6 visit. A June 21-23 official visit is also scheduled. Stewart will also make OV’s to SMU in May and Baylor June 7-9. 

    Aylin Dear, RB, Quitman (Miss.) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Ole Miss and Alabama are big favorites. Florida and Mississippi State also in it. Texas loves Dear, but a tough one even for Tashard Choice. 

     

    Wide receiver (3)

    Dakorien Moore, WR, Duncanville (Texas) High - *LSU commit
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star
    What to know: A LSU vs. Texas battle with Ohio State and Oregon trying. Scheduled to visit Texas April 20 for the Spring Game. A June OV is also expected, as of today. LSU Spring Game April 13 is an expected visit too, along with a June OV. 

    Jaime Ffrench, WR, Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Part of big recruiting weekend at Ohio State today. Was on campus at Miami last weekend. Making first unofficial visit to Texas April 6. Ohio State, Florida State and Miami are considered top three currently. Texas and Tennessee are also serious players. Scheduled to make OV to Texas June 21-23, the weekend after Tennessee.

    Kaliq Lockett, WR, Sachse (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know:  Father if from the Los Angeles area, and mom grew up in Louisiana and Mississippi. Scheduled to be at Ohio State this weekend, and was at Penn State in March 13. Will be at Texas April 6, and return for an OV June 21-23. USC on the books for June 7-9. LSU also in the mix, as is FSU.

    Kelshaun Johnson, WR, Hitchcock (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    Official visit schedule: Visiting Texas Tech this weekend, and will be at Texas April 6. Official visits to Penn State May 31-June 2, Texas Tech June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and USC June 21-23. TCU and Arkansas trying to get May OV’s, and Texas A&M remains in the mix due to Holmon Wiggins. 

    Marcus Harris, WR, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Will also attend the Texas spring game April 20. Official visits locked in to Alabama May 24-26, Tennessee June 7-9, Oregon June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23. Texas can win with a big push.

    Andrew Marsh, WR, Katy (Texas) Jordan
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Made unofficial visit to Texas March 25. June official visits locked in to USC June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and Oklahoma June 21-23. Texas A&M also in the hunt with family connections to the Aggies. 

    Daylan McCutcheon, WR, Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Official visits to Ohio State May 31-June 2, USC June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and Florida State June 21-23. Smooth route runner and mover in the mold of Deandre Moore from the 2023 cycle. 

    Emmanuel Choice, WR, Lancaster (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Official visits to Nebraska last weekend in April, USC May 31-June 2, Missouri June 7-9, TCU June 14-16 and Oklahoma June 21-23. OU was the first school to offer Choice May 4, 2023. 

     

    Tight end (2)

    Emaree Winston, TE, Calhoun (Ga.) High #AllGasNoBrakes
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Will make official visit June 21-23. Allso plans to attend the Texas Spring Game April 20.

    Nick Townsend, TE, Dekaney (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Will visit Texas April 6, and make an official visit June 21-23. Jeff Banks was by the school multiple times in December and January. Texas A&M, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and Arizona State also in the mix. Will make an OV to Arizona State with teammate Tanook Hines April 19-21. 

    Kiotti Armstrong, TE, Jasper (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Texas A&M considered a slight favorite over Texas headed into the spring. Armstrong is at Texas A&M today, will be back April 6 and at Texas April 13. Was at LSU last weekend. Official visits to Auburn May 31-June 2, LSU likely June 7-9, Texas A&M June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23.

     

    Offensive line (4-5) 

    Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star
    Official visit schedule: Texas A&M June 7-9, Oklahoma June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23. Oregon and Missouri also in the mix on the peripheral. Texas vs. Oklahoma with Texas A&M fighting. 

    Nick Brooks, OT, Cedar Rapids (Ia.) John F. Kennedy
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Official visits locked in to Georgia May 31-June 2, Texas June 14-16 and Iowa June 21-23. Alabama, USC, Nebraska and Ohio State among this in the mix. Georgia in pole position entering the spring. Iowa in fight to keep him home. Texas the wildcard headed into an April 20 Spring Game visit. 

    Josh Petty, OT, Roswell (Ga.) Fellowship Christian School
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Family working on getting to campus for a visit following Josh’s visit with California Power March 22. Clemson has OV set up May 31-June 2. Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn, FSU and now Texas are all legitimately in the mix. Dad’s side of the family has ties to Texas 9San Angelo and Big Lake). 

    Jonte Newman, OT, Cypress (Texas) Bridgeland
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Texas has an official visit set up June 14-16. Newman is expected back on campus in April as well. Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Alabama, Mississippi State and Ole Miss are the schools to know. Moved to the Houston area from Lexington, Miss. prior to ninth grade. 

    Jordan Coleman, OT, Cedar Hill (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Official visits scheduled to SMU May 17-19, Baylor June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23. Longhorns entered the spring in the pole position. 

    Lamont Rogers, OT, Mesquite (Texas) Horn
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Official visits scheduled to Missouri May 31-June 2, Texas A&M June 7-9 and Texas June 14-16. LSU and Oklahoma also in the mix. Texas in a good spot with a big push. 

    Juan Gaston, OT, Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Official visits to Georgia May 31-June 2, South Carolina June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and Oregon June 21-23 are on the books. Texas is a wild card, and running fourth in this race headed into the spring.

    John Mills, IOL, San Francisco (Calif.) St. Ignatius 
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Texas and Washington remain the top two in this one. Mills and family scheduled to be back on campus April 6. Official visits scheduled to California May 23-25, Washington May 31-June 2, Florida June 7-9, Texas June 14-16 and USC June 21-23. Multiple family members have been college athletes at Washington. 

    Jackson Christian, IOL, Port Neches (Texas) Port Neches-Groves
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Christian is expected on campus at Texas and Texas A&M in April. Official visits on the books to Texas A&M June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23. Kyle Flood has been on Christian the longest in a recruitment similar to Jaydon Chatman from the 2023 cycle. 

    Devin Coleman, IOL, Cedar Hill (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
    What to know: Texas will win out with a push. Official visits scheduled to SMU May 17-19, Baylor June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23.

    Tyler Thomas, IOL, Dickinson (Texas) High
    OnTexasFootball Ranking: 3-star
    What to know: The Houston area lineman missed majority of junior year with foot injury. Ranking could ascend as a senior. Official visits to Texas A&M June 14-16 and Texas June 21-23 locked in. Made visit to LSU March 9, will be at Texas A&M today and Texas April 6. 

    Peter Langi, IOL, San Francisco (Calif.) Bishop Rirordan
    OnTexasFootball Ranking: 3-star
    What to know: Texas likes Langi enough to still have an official visit as a possibility. Langi has OV’s locked in to Washington May 3-5, Arizona State May 31-June 2 and Arizona June 21-23.
