  1. Cross posting something I shared elsewhere, but here it goes. I think the following list captures the 11 uncatchable throws stat that ESPN shared. Not to bury the lead either, but the rewatch was far more favorable to Arch than I had thought it was going to be (IMO; watching live felt like a nightmare). I think mistakes in highly emotionally charged times of the game (e.g. first play of the day; last offensive drive of the game) accentuated the disdain for his performance. Without further ado, his “mistakes” drive by drive. Please challenge me if you think anything should be added or removed. 1st drive: -Short on pass to Moore (1st play of game) -4th and 2: RPO and goes with the handoff; should have held and pass (Endries wide open for easy pickup) 2nd drive: -3rd and 11: would need All22 to see if anything was missed downfield, but he took the check down and we punted 3rd drive: -1st play had errant throw to Endries; watching live thought he just missed, but he is hit up high by a DL just as he releases, hence the off throw 4th drive: -1st and 10 after the first first down. Low pass to Moore that may have been picked by Downs if it was any higher. Tight window. No one else looked open, other than a check down. 5th drive: -1st and 10. He sails a pass on Livingstone (slant). Think he saw it late (working through progressions), then quick hitched it and it sailed. (HALFTIME) 6th Drive: -1st and 10 after the first first down. Low ball to Moore for a WR screen. Probably immediately tackled, but him slipping to catch it low led to a loss of 3 on the play. 7th Drive: -Interception (thrown short for sure, but also late, which gave the corner time to ID that ball) 8th Drive: -Near interception was throw into too tight of coverage -3rd and 3 on the 9. Hits Wingo low on the crosser. 9th Drive: -Perfection. TD Drive. 10th Drive: -1st play, sailed it to Wingo on a far and wide toss. Very hard throw period. -Low and behind on Endries (2nd and 5) -High and slightly behind Wingo on a crosser (reminiscent of miss on Wingo on 8th drive).
  2. X3 like this is the third this weekend or x3 like 3 more new ones?!
  3. 1. Texas -I genuinely believe we have top line starters in most position groups (Taaffe, Muhammad, Hill, Moore, Simmons, Goosby, Endries, Wisner, Wingo, Manning), but then there’s dudes who could explode this year (Williams returning, McDonald, Spence, Watson, Brevard, DJ, Moore, Washington), and then depth EVERYWHERE. I think it’s this talent relative to the rest of the country that makes this year more exciting than 2026, when we may very well be a better team. 2. Penn St -Singleton and Allen both coming back, plus another year for Allar to grow is huge. Then on the defensive side, they still have enough studs to go along with solid depth, that I imagine they’ll stay as strong as ever. Really though, it’s the chance for the offense to take another step + what Knowles can do to give the defense a little extra juice. 3. Clemson -Klubnick plus those WRs is the most elite passing attack in the country, at least entering the season (could change based on what happens to Texas, Ohio St, or Bama, with all the new QBs). Defense still has studs too. 4. Oregon -Portal was big for them again. If they have a QB, then they will be a force. 5. Ohio St -Lost a ton, but still has elite talent in guys like Smith and Downs. They did well in the portal and ultimately have recruited well for years. PS - It’s surprising to leave off Georgia, but they’ve lost so many dudes and are young talent otherwise, IMO. Bama is officially in the post-Saban era. DeBoar is a great coach, but he’s not Saban. 9-3 may be their new normal. LSU is breaking in a bunch of new guys. If Kelly can coach to his potential, they have the potential to make this list of mine look silly (they need to gel though and acclimate the new guys).
  4. I think it’s because these forums carry an inherent sense of community for a lot of folks on them (heck, I feel it myself). In a very real sense, the different forums try to cultivate it in some sense too (the happy hours, tailgates, or live watches on YouTube). I think that sense of community is awesome as a diehard Longhorn fan. It’s unfortunate that it gets “tribal” though and people feel the need to knock one site or another (often in an emotional, rather than rational, manner). At the end of the day, my Longhorn fandom is more enjoyable getting to listen to dudes like Bobby, Gerry, CJ, Rod, or whoever else can enlighten me about football in general, how our program is doing, and player insights/evals. Other sites got good dudes doing it too. We all Longhorns, so it’s all good 🤘🏼
  5. I haven’t been able to do a full rewatch yet, but I did see the 20min ESPN highlight video. This play stood out on there as Quinn’s most egregious self-sack. Got to think at this time, the learning points are so clear from film. Quinn needs to grow from it, get back to his Michigan game footwork, and turn the page on the last two weeks. If not, we may just not be a CFP team. Got some front 7s coming up that will do their best to get the same thing done as UGA (especially Kentucky and A&M).
  6. Me thinks this Texas team has not forgotten this bit from last year
  7. I’m assuming the boot is precautionary? Anything else to infer there?
  8. Cannot believe Webster has a Little Woodrow’s now 😂 Hope I’ll catch yall in Austin at some point
  9. Appreciate this type of reflection and insight. As a fan, following recruiting is part of the fandom. UT won’t win 100% of recruitments, but even following it through the ups and downs is enjoyable. At the end of the day, I’m not gonna give up on following recruiting just because NIL and other changes make the road more curvy. I just got to buckle up and enjoy the ride. It’s this or politics/other news. Think I know which one I’m picking 100/100 times lol
  10. Incredible indicator that Sark has this program rolling in a positive direction in a way we haven’t seen since the mid 2000s
  11. Sorry to have missed. Hopefully catch yall on Saturday or another time
  12. Found a work around. If you go to "Orders" (under the drop down menu labeled "More"), you can cancel the prior invoices (that's how things got cued up if you had the order previously set in place but didn't finish the order). After you do that, the discount code will work again. I just got the annual subscription with the discount code working.
  13. I'm having the same problem now too. Looks like the annual renewal date bug has been fixed though.
  14. Followed yall over from IT. Still have my account there (and probably always will), but yall have amazing content and perspective too. Will gladly become an annual member over here too 🤘🏼
