If there's two positives from yesterday about Arch is that he is a real threat running and he also maneuvers the pocket really well. His problem yesterday was not about being afraid of getting hit, like Quinn was... For someone with 3 starts he moves really well but he just had no confidence inside the pocket... Wasn't stepping into throws, flat footed, side arming the ball or sailing it high... The biggest concern I have is processing, because I believe he has the mechanics and footwork to make the easy stuff automatic but if you wanna play in the NFL you gotta throw the guys open, you can't wait for them to get open. To me yesterday looked like the Arch we saw in his first spring game: skipping the ball on the ground, sailing it high, etc... Last I'd like to point out was how bad he looked against ULM and how much better he looked the week after, regardless of competition. It wouldn't be a good sign for your QB to be inconsistent but It'd make sense given it's his 3rd start and you'd hope he gets more level headed with experience

Here come the overractions, once again

There we go with the overreactions, the fact you're even thinking this lets me know you're being too emotional about this loss. Yeah let's completely deminsh the confidence of a young QB making his first road game start for an unproven senior that played at temple, surely he'll handle better the 110 thousand fans screaming and the nation calling for him to be inducted in the HOF before playing a meaningful snap. What a frustrating fan base we are. How the hell is he supposed to learn to play in an enviroment like this if we pull him? How is supposed to know what failure and disappointement feels like when you've let your team down if you pull him? Don't wanna make generalizations but Peyton wouldn't have become the player he was if they benched him in his first season with the colts. THE KID HAS GOT TO LEARN, LET HIM LEARN. Like @Gerry Hamilton said, he'll get better, we just have to wait and see how much and how long that'll take. The talent is there, he's gotta turn the easy stuff into automatics and get as much reps as possible to make the game slow down. One last thing: if there's something constant within Arch's game is improvement. Whether it's throughout a game or after a game he's always made improvements. Have faith.

I think the rattled mechanics and footwork are all mental, so that's the first thing that I'll worry about at Florida: can he handle the expectations better? Can he settle down and acutally GET IN the game? The MORE concerning thing I saw today, because in no way do I wanna believe Arch can't make those easy throws he couldn't make today, is him waiting, on routes over the middle, for guys to GET OPEN instead of throwing them open. Again, this easily could've been a jitters thing, in my mind no way Sark has a whole gameplan centered around that if Arch struggled with it in practice. So it's not a good thing when your QB just can't seem to settle in in big games, but I do think the mental side of handling the pressure of big games gets easier with more reps. I think a lot of today was between the ears rather than talent (even when it comes to going through progressions)

@Gerry Hamilton The only thing that gives me confidence is the throws late in the game that he made. Apart from that, I don't wanna say it, but he looked like DJ Uiagalalei at FSU with those bad mechanics and footwork... Hopefully more reps and time will make him overcome the jitters he had, because that was just simply not the same player we saw last year. The Film Guy on twitter specifically pointed out how bad mechanics,footwork and everything else looked. I think these next 3 games are gonna be crucial for him to really settle in and make the easy throws automatic.
