  1. Had the same experience with him. I went to his introductory celebration in Austin, and they were running late getting him to the Palmer Event Center. I decided to step outside to satisfy my tobacco habit, and in walked David McWilliams (who I knew) and Coach Brown. He asked my name, and whether I could punt. Fast forward 10 or so years and I ran into him again. He remembered my name and that conversation about punting and he asked if I still had eligibility. I haven't met anyone before or since that had that unique ability to remember faces/names and the grace to joke about things that make someone like me smile a little wider.
  2. I couldn’t hear the whole conversation, but his mom kept telling him he needs to sleep on his decision.
  3. Just boarded a Delta flight to LA and a jumbo sized athlete in Longhorn gear is sitting right behind me. Anyone from SoCal in town?
  4. Dukes of Hazard is on mine. Catherine Bach was a preteen obsession for me
  5. I’m sure it'll be on YouTube soon enough, but the MNF pregame just did a cool segment on why Poona Ford is such a good DL
  6. 34-30 Texas 🤘🏼
  7. The blitzes the A&M defense ran against Missouri were simple in concept, but the second blitzer through the same gap puts the OG/C in conflict. The DL creates a gap between the OG/OC by slanting away from it, and Elko was having 2 guys run through the same A gap with a slight delay for the second blitzer due to starting slightly deeper. The RB takes the "most immediate" threat to the QB (usually the first one he sees, leaving the second blitzer running full speed at the QB unless the OG or OC manage to slow him down. Missouri's OL didn't come up with a solution.
  8. 24-20 Texas
  9. “Like playing against your dad in the driveway when you’re 8 years old. What’re you supposed to do?” 😆
  10. 38-20 Texas. OL continues gelling and Arch hits a few deep balls
  11. Would be funny if Elko bolts after getting the Ags’ hearts all fluttering.
