  1. We'd be a sexy option for him, no doubt about it. Stay at USC and have another 6 win season with minimal targets... OR... go to Texas and catch passes from Arch Manning on a championship-caliber team. If you've been in the craziness of LA on a bad USC team (not getting the attention they do when they're good.), Austin can look pretty damn good.
  2. I wonder when TTU decided to change their colors to pink and grey... CU just closed them out.
  3. My 'aged poorly' message aged poorly. Nice game by Dart.
  4. I've got Ole Miss today against UGA. Dart > Beck.
  5. If you need a nap after our game, Clemson vs VT is on.
  6. So sorry to hear this. Know that God has a plan for us! Prayers to Colt for a speedy recovery and all the fam to stay strong for him.
  7. Hoping Choice is working with the RB room this week on blocking. Our o-line will hold their own, but if the RB can't at least get a nudge onto a LB coming free on a blitz, it could be a long night.
  8. Hard to believe just 3 years ago we lost to 0U, 0SU, Baylor, ISU, Kansas and WVU all in a row. The transformation is incredible and I believe the Standard has been defined and the team will rise to it this week after falling to a very strong UGA team last week. Vandy are scrappy, but I think we outman them this week and match their culture with our own. QE bounces back and has a good week (although I do have some concerns about a lingering injury). I do wish Bond was available, but we have enough weapons to overcome this on offense. Our D will travel and we will win this game. Texas 49, Vandy 14.
  9. Have watched a few Vandy games this year and the offense just seems so 'backyard' with Pavia running the show. I'd have Hill spying him the whole game with likely a second. He keep plays alive until the DBs break down and then he finds the open guy... OR he takes off without hesitation. Our DBs will be some of the best he's faced this year and I don't think he's going to hold up. I also think his OL will tire before the end of the 3rd. They're a REALLY scrappy team, following their leader. That said, I think we take them to the woodshed and give other teams a blueprint on how they COULD beat Pavia if they had our defense.
  10. The announcers said the call likely got corrected due to the time it was taking to get the bottles off the field giving the booth an opportunity to review. I'm not condoning the behavior in any way, but it did have an impact on the outcome it would seem. You reprimand and possibly frame the refs for making such an egregiously bad call that incited a fan section to throw bottles. Again, not condoning the behavior, it was an embarrassment on the biggest stage (almost as bad as our offense), but the refs had their hand in it.
  11. No surprises there. UGA has been hit pretty hard, but won't accept any excuses after this game, as we have been as well.
  12. Whew! I started three different 'Nah-ah' responses as I read your post, then got to the end and thought, 'We're the same, you and me!' Gerry is spot on. If both teams play their best football (and I genuinely hope they do), Texas wins by double digits. With Georgia's extra-curricular activities, injuries, etc., I truly believe our ceiling is considerably higher than theirs. Having trolled a few UGA sites this week, their fan base feels the same in many cases. Their team won't have given up, but their fans are seemingly conceding the game. Crazy times!
  13. Texas 42 - UGA 17 QE has a career day and a Heisman moment or two that ultimately get him to New York, but not the trophy. The defense solidifies their #1 rank, but give up a TD late in junk time making the score look a little closer than it was. Smart continues his effusive praise of Sark in the post-game presser trying to save a little dignity after his team gets Kirb-Stomped.
  14. Very happy for this young man! Hope they let him eat!
