  1. Although CJ Sampson chose Florida, his Tomball teammate Karson Reeder just committed to Texas! Both are high level right handed pitchers who helped Tomball to the UIL 6A State Title. Reeder has a nice 4 pitch mix, FB up to 90mph, and was named the championship game MVP as a sophomore.
  2. This ended up being an extremely rewarding weekend. Manis, Krenek, Rangel, Peterson, and Thompson all committed to Texas, while Lord chose Florida and Smejkal is still uncommitted.
  3. I thought that ship had sailed…interesting
  4. Matthew Manis LHP Houston, TX (Memorial HS) Bryce Krenek LHP Katy, TX (Taylor HS) Trey Rangel RHP The Colony, TX (The Colony HS) Beau Peterson INF/RHP Shawnee, KS (Mill Valley HS) Jack Smejkal RHP/SS The Woodlands, TX (The Woodlands HS) Tucker Thompson LHP Gardner, KS (Gardner-Edgerton HS) Denton Lord RHP Santa Rosa Beach, FL (South Walton HS)
  5. 2026 DB out of Duncanville (by way of Wilmer-Hutchins) Has been on campus several times previously.
  6. I’m gonna have faith in Weiner’s vision with some of these guys, because the ERAs aren’t sparkling. But small adjustments can get the most out of players.
  7. They also have him at 265 overall in their 2024 MLB draft board though
  8. It’s just a football player making a decision, life goes on.
  9. I mean there’s clearly a lot who don’t see that lol or do but are able to look past it considering they had a top 10 class and have gotten good transfers We also lost both our bowl games with Sark btw, and are 1-2 against OU. Hopefully both of those trends change this season!
  10. Better H2H recently and overall football program in the last decade or so, prefers a smaller town environment, wants to play for a defensive head coach. Not that I think he should go to Oklahoma, but those would be some reasons I could see.
