Look... Luka is a great player, but I understand why. Luka never committed to defense or his body. If I'm going to be on the hook for half a billion dollars for a guy, he better come in shape and ready to work. We've already seen Luka have back problems and now, his calf. KD and Kobe, I remember vividly, had calf issues and then boom, they blew their Achilles. Those guys were way more committed. I hate it.. but I know Jason Kidd wants a team that will compete on the defensive end and even Klay gives more effort on that end than Luka does, even at this stage. We have watched this Mavs team compete well without him, and I think ownership and the GM, along with Kidd saw that, as well, at the same time. Biggest trade in NBA history, no question.

A selfish reciever isn't scary or fearful for anyone but the team that employs him. At any moment, he can leave you hanging, example being this past season. He left Quinn hanging many a time... not attacking the football, being lazy in routes and effort, etc. He needs to move on and Lockett, Terry, and McCutcheon will more than fill his shoes. We also have the kids that redshirted last year, Livingston and Butler. These Alabama one year rentals haven't panned out so well.
