  1. Congrats! But don’t forget….there’s opportunity now for a long career in Slow-Pitch!
  2. Coach White took some incoming flak for his pitching moves in Game 2. Turns out his decision to throw 4 different pitchers and rest Kavan (2/3 inning) was the reason Texas won the title. Canady is great but she got wore down and was not sharp. Kavan had her normal great stuff thanks to the decision White made for Game 2. Crow is being served.
  3. Move Bing into a start vs aTm?
  4. 1984 Cotton Bowl - fumbled punt cost us NC. My daughter was 2 weeks old - neighbors unknowingly stopped by to meet the baby during the 4th quarter. When the fumble occurred, the dude said…..we better go….(once he saw my hands on my face). I proudly did not harm anyone or break any furniture.
  5. Yes. Horns starting to get some team mojo going - a lot of new faces from last season….it won’t be pretty.
  6. I talked to a lot of Kentucky fans at Schulz’s and they convinced me that’s a fun trip. Several mentioned the horse track nearby, and how other SEC fans take a day to go to the races….(plus a likely dub at the game).
  7. Yes, bad call, but - Tough to run at goal line without a true power RB; and Arch at QB may have worked but he fumbled his last snap vs Clemson that could’ve been disastrous, and he almost fumbled again vs OSU. I think his ball security issue may have been a factor in Sark’s personnel decision late in the game. Hard for me to throw a lot of shade on a coach that made so many great play calls in the past.
  8. QE done good - fun ride - he handled himself with class. QE’s lofty recruiting ratings caused some very high and unreasonable expectations (like Simms). If he was a 3-Star from a small town (like Colt) he would’ve received a lot more love from the fans. Good luck to QE going forward.
  9. Yes Quinn can do it, unless we meet Georgia again in finals, then it’s tough. The only D in the playoffs as good as the Bulldogs is Texas.
  10. Texas D should rule the day…..much like Georgia did to Texas.
  11. Weren’t a lot of folks, including me, complaining about Sark and QE forcing too many long shots downfield about 2-3 years ago? Mostly, they’re taking what the defense gives them. Teams are respecting the Horns speed with high safeties and/or blitzes to protect against big plays. Somebody thinks QE can throw deep.
  12. Sark was happy with QE’s game, but what does he know?
  13. Ref was straight-lined - bad angle - it happens. It probably looked like the defender fouled with body from his angle. He held his whistle til after the play; I don’t think this was a case of anticipating a foul. He didn’t have the luxury of watching slo-mo replays from different angles. Not as easy as making the call from your Lazy-Boy
  14. I was actually in his class at WHS but I wasn’t good enough to play with that bunch. They were state finalists 2 years in a row. Clyde was the best HS player I ever saw play.
