If you put it into perspective, the 22.5 sacks in 1982 when teams weren't throwing it nearly as much as today is crazy. Way less opportunities should equal less sacks. Hager's total tackles in 1988 is impressive no doubt, but teams were running the ball a lot. That's what makes DeAyala's sack total really impressive.

I'm curious as to why the sack totals do not match up to what I saw live and on replay. We clearly.had sacks by Simmons, Lefau and Vasek. Also had a give up by McCown on another run behind the line of scrimmage where Anthony Hill could clearly be given credit to a sack yet no credit was given. What the hell is going on?

AND why would he give Stallions a game ball. They ALL knew 100% guaranteed.

Yeah I an aware. I've coached against him in a scrimmage. The result was quite different than back in the day.

I've got two. One was James Morton, father of the current Tech starting QB. The other was Billy Joe Tolliver. Went on to start at Tech at QB. Both of their teams beat us out in the playoffs on consecutive years and went on to win state championships. Rodney Thomas may be the best runner I've seen play.
