    I think that was exactly why Texas did not fight for Davis at the end. Sydir Mitchell was really a Sarkisian and Flood recruit. All the DL coming out including next year are all Herman—Giles recruits.

    A very highly rated five-star safety from the 2020 class for whom Texas finished second to aTm. I think there is a transfer rule in the SEC that will not allow spring SEC transfers to play that fall for any other SEC team.

    Scholarships should ameliorate the hire for play only trend. Otherwise self funding football is just another minor league sport. Athletics has returned $7M - $10M to the UT general fund over the last few years. 2020 took a big hit with COVID but future years should be well into the upper teens with the increase in revenue that will occur.

    Well it is blatantly obvious that the prohibition of photographs and videos of athlete's is interference with their rights to promote their Name, Likeness and Image. That cannot stand. I sort of wish Texas would continue with recruiting business as normal and just let the NCAA try to do what it cannot.

    Walton still continuing to develop us another thread to watch this Spring. They guy is a true junkyard dog. He fears no one.

    The guy is really good but he seems larger than most DL and his hands seem to slip outside the DL shoulder pads. Nevertheless, Flood would love to coach him into a first round draft pick.

    This year it is 8 conference games. Next year and moving forward it is 9 conference games. As an alum, I never want to see Texas go to the SEC cupcake special in November if ever. Playing UM and anOSU OOC is a serious recruiting pitch. Success is in the SEC CCG and a victory or two in the CFP. Texas has to play their depth over the season. No coach is accustomed to that. Circles of trust must expand as each season progresses.

    Gideon seems to be a good evaluator and recruiter. The problem Texas is going to have going forward is that they are deep and young kids are impatient and want field-time immediately whether they are ready or not. Development is the new Texas mantra, ironically. 🤘🏻🤘🤘🏼🤘🏽🤘🏾🤘🏿
