    I think Sark and company have done well flipping players late, with that said it has not been in the DT recruits. We brought in three mid to mid high level lineman in the portal. We did loose out on the top portal lineman in the portal. Not that Williams is all that but supposedly the best in portal. I don’t believe we have flipped a DT recruit. Maybe I’m wrong. I say all this to say they do great recruiting through December. Just not in the area of DT.

    I agree with this. It has been said on OTF that if you want two you need to bring in ten. I agree with this totally as well. However, if you’re not going to bring in ten and just your top five you better bring the money and A game bottom line. They aren’t coming here just because it’s Texas as disappointing as that is. Portal might be an option, but that’s rolling the dice. D. Williams is an example. Pay premium price for a guy that if as good as he thinks he is should’ve been in NFL draft already. I think this is his fourth year, I may be wrong.

    Yea it’s the DL position, not feeling confident. Gerry commented this morning on OTF that we would probably have a top 5 recruiting class, but maybe not fill all our needs. I rather have a top 10ish recruiting class and not have hole in a position.

    Where does the money come from on OV’s? NIL or University funds?

    They are playing the game the way it is set up to be played right now. I think that’s what NIL is supposed to be used for. Brag about having it or actually put your money where your mouth is.

    I agree with you on Dorian Brew. I didn’t feel we were going to land him either. It would just give us reassuring moment to land someone that is on our big board.

    Wanted to thank you all for the past three weekends of recruitment updates, interviews, and notes. You put a lot of time and effort into your craft and I, as well as most of us here, appreciate all that you do. Gerry and CJ thanks for all your efforts spent at airport, facilities and so on to bring the latest intel. I know it’s not over till it’s over , but great work and it is appreciated.

    Bring in revenue however you can. I just hope uniforms and the field don’t turn into a NASCAR starter kit. With that said Gerry on the big board during games doing the Manscape advertisement would be the greatest.

    Great time to be a Longhorn. When the bubble is full of coaches and scouts evaluating talent and a couple of coaches comment on your current starting quarterback, life is good.

    Bottom line for me is how fun it is to have so many exciting freshmen. In the past it has been one maybe two a season. There have been times there really wasn’t one at all. Exciting times for sure. Sark and company keep it rolling.

    I agree ultra talented. I believe as spring , summer sessions, and early games played they could get better. Get the cohesion, timing, and back to game speed mentality could pave the way for another huge season. Boils down to some players taking that next step for me.
