  1. Also, it's a false premise. If both us and Notre Dame win out, then the ACC and the B12 are getting only one team in if that's what it takes to get us both in.
  2. 34-23 Texas. My undergrad alma mater takes it to my grad school alma mater
  3. This is what happens when you get concussed!
  4. We're all lifetime longhorns. No one is saying we don't want to win after Arch. But until the NCAA takes away eligibility rules and tom Brady can go back to Michigan to try to win a natty as a graduate student, there will always be cycles to some degree at programs. Most important player in sports is QB, so if you can re-align resources to these two years to maximize, you do it. Take for example the transfers Texas brought in this year. It is not a coincidence that Emmet Mosley, Watson, Endries, and Spence all have two years of eligibility or time before the NFL is a possibility. If you need to move some of your 2027 resources to 2026 to ensure you get the right guys in the portal next year (or to keep Colin Simmons), you do it. No question. And then you do the same thing with KJ Lacey and Dia Bell's prime years (or Trey Owens, if he mans up and wins the job).
  5. And especially the reference to USC v. UCLA near when those teams played....
  6. I'll take that (sports gambling) bet!
  7. YES, this... I don't normally take pleasure in other's pain. But for OU Football, I'll make minor exceptions... Would be chef's kiss!
  8. Lol, just edited to add that before I saw your comment....
  9. https://www.ncaa.org/news/2023/6/28/media-center-di-approves-changes-to-reinstatement-guidelines-for-sports-wagering-violations.aspx If legit, will be interesting to find out what sport and how much was bet. This article, of still current, lays out tiers of punishment based on those criteria. Google says UCLA played USC in football on 11/19/22... If that's what he bet on, that's at least half the season gone for him (which would include Red river).
  10. Whitt, Rojo, Sorrell, Anthony Hill, Barron... Maybe Casey Thompson because of all that film study 😉
  11. What street?!
  12. It's too early to be drunk (actual or metaphorical). And it's a Sunday! Have a little respect!
  13. Thankful for even the undrafted ones!
  14. Most of the people in front of you are not new season ticket holders though. They already have their tickets reserved and are just being offered the opportunity to upgrade to better seats, if available. If they do upgrade, their old reserved seats then become available for the people next in line after them. There won't be many if any good lower bowl seats in groups of 4 by the time your slot comes up, but there will be plenty of upper bowl seats available. I wouldn't worry about it! Hook em!
  15. Anthony Hill on burnt orange jerseys: "it's a restriction" 😭
  16. The NPV isn't zero, but that's the wrong reference point. The reference point is what is the NPV of these deals collectively - the cost savings for A&M for not managing this in house referenced against Texas's net NPV for similar. As mentioned, the wild card is whether there is some competitive advantage for legit NIL deals, which there might be due to centralization of the marketplace. But the top line number is a just a headline.
  17. This is just a headline. Rather than manage individual media rights deals in house directly with brands--for example, Texas has deals with American Airlines, Budweiser, etc, to name a few--Aggie is contracting that out in advance to one entity. That entity gets both the upside and downside. In short, they are aggregating their advertising and media deals over time to one entity. Im not privy to the numbers, but I assume if we did that it would be way higher. Presumably there is some NIL upside here too because it is likely the brands and the students athletes get a centralized place to try and sell/license actual nil rights. But the long and short is that Texas probably already gets more from its media deals collectively than this agreement promises for a&m.
  18. I have heard he was also injured for a good deal of his initial time in ways that impeded physical development necessary for improving blocking.
  19. I believe he tried to get the game moved prior to Georgia losing
  20. I am not normally conspiritatorial, but I would not be surprised if after Ryan Day got beat by Michigan and knew his job was on the line, Ohio State looked at the fact that Michigan essentially got off Scott free for cheating by stealing signs and started doing the same for the Tennessee and Oregon games. They appear to have the perfect play calls most of the time, and it is making me suspicious...
  21. Good not great pic but undoubtedly one of the best moments of the season.
