    When I was teaching at A&M, I had students every year tell me they tried to get into Texas but couldn't. So they went there for a year and would transfer.

    The modern day ball players are indeed amazing, no doubt. But the Babe did it in the dead ball era. Today the ball jumps out of parks. And he might have won 300+ games had he continued as a pitcher.

    I knew he had in high school, but didn't know he played at Texas. Knew his younger brother, Rodney.

    Bobby pointed out that if you say football and track there have been numerous. NFL and Olympic quality which includes Longhorns. I'm just not a track guy aside from the Olympics.

    With Williams committed, we now have two outstanding two sport athletes in he and Jackson committed. I don't remember this ever occurring on the 40 acres before outside of James Street and Keith Moreland. I'm not sure this has ever occurred before anywhere. Not 2 in the same recruiting class. Amazing.

    Texas had more medals than most countries. Awesome.
