  1. Sorry, got it wrong. Call was reversed to be touch, and Tennessee is challenging.
  2. Wenaas kill off touch. Originally rule no touch, but reversed. 17-9.
  3. Tennessee has 0 blocks so far tonight. 15-9 Texas after Ames block after Ames kill. And another Ames kill of an overpass. 16-9. Ames having a great night.
  4. 12-6 Texas. Texas hitting .676 this match so far. That's unreal.
  5. Wenaas, Rutherford, Ames, and Singletary all with at least 4 kills and hitting .800 or better. Insanely good hitting.
  6. Back to back kills by Ames to give Texas a 6-2 lead. First on the slide, second on a middle kill of an overpass. Skinner serve error. Ames again on the slide. 7-3 Texas hitting .
  7. Pearl emulating Hurley. Pissed the refs didn't call Memphis guard for clearing out with his arm on his drive.
  8. It looked pretty inadvertent.
  9. Not even close. I don't know if UMass will have a lot of patience with Martin if the team doesn't improve after the torching it suffered against Florida State. He lost three players to transfer, but he returned 4 of the top 7 in minutes played last year. Hunter just got kicked in the face when he was on the ground after missing a dunk. Auburn up 39-19 with 4:33 left in the half.
  10. WVU won 86-78 in OT. DeVries was big at the end of regulation, but this was Javon Small's day--31 points, 7 rebounds. WVU got all of 2 points from its bench.
  11. ISU forced 18 turnovers and shot 60+% to win 99-71.
  12. Even worse, Nembhard came out after first timeout. Zags tried to put him in after second timeout. Can't do that. Now Zags don't have their starting pg on the floor for the last play. They got it in and dribbled into traffic in the lane. Ball knocked away. No foul called. OT.
  13. DeVries hit a three then got a steal and was fouled on the breakaway. He hit both ft, and this game is tied with 5.9 seconds left. Rather than save the timeout in case it couldn't inbound the ball, Gonzaga called timeout after the made ft. I thought that was dumb because WV called timeout after the first made ft, and Zags could have called their play in that huddle.
  14. Mark Few angry, just not Hurley angry, about a foul call on a Zag player when he bit on a fake and the WVU shooter then jumped sideways to make contact. Three ft for DeVries. Teams had been trading single point leads. DeVries missed the first, so they still can. 2:50 left, WVU up one.
  15. 41-11 run by Louisville at the start (and a lot of the middle) of the second half.
  16. Colorado turnovers on four straight possessions gave ISU a 8-0 run. ISU now up 43-31. ISU with 6 steals, CU with 9 turnovers with 46 seconds to go in the half.
  17. Louisville 89 Indiana 61. Indiana went 10 possessions without a score in the second half before a Cardinal retaliated after being clobbered while making a layup. IU hit the technical ft. As a result of that game, Louisville and IU exchanged positions in Pomeroy. Louisville moving from 58 to 38, and Indiana dropping from 38 to 58. They will jiggle around a little as the day goes on, but that was kind of unique to see. Colorado tied with ISU in an all-Big 12 5th place game in Maui. 22-22 with 7:51 left. WVU trying to hang with Gonzaga. 27-23 Zags with 5:46 to go first half.
  18. Indiana is ranked, btw. It is clearly undeserving of it. 70-40 and Louisville with ball.
  19. 12:07 to go, and IU has more offensive rebounds (14) than defensive rebounds (11) and is getting crushed by Louisville 66-40. IU has made 14 fgs so far. Louisville has made 10 3s and 29 fg, shooting 60+%.
  20. I saw an article that makes it seem like Carlson playing all match is by Elliott's choice and not due to Swindle injury. https://atozsports.com/college-football/texas-longhorns-news/madisen-skinner-superstar-play-and-jerritt-elliotts-lineup-change-ignites-texas-volleyball-late-season-surge/ Texas signee Taylor Harvey won Ms. Volleyball in Arizona. (That's the player of the year award that transcends school classifications.) https://www.deseret.com/sports/2024/11/27/high-school-girls-volleyball-ms-taylor-harvey-bountiful/
  21. ISU pulled it out last night. A lot of good games today, starting with UConn playing for 8th place in the Maui tournament. Hurley's head will explode if UConn loses again today. A&M faces Creighton. Will be interesting to see how well they defend Kalkbrenner with Payne/Coleman. Memphis-Auburn will have bigs galore on the court, and Tyrese Hunter is on a hot streak, being 12/20 bta in the tournament. Memphis as a team is hitting 45.3% bta, and that has been against a very tough non-con schedule. Baylor, San Diego State, and Alabama are the only teams in the Pomeroy top 50 to have faced tougher competition so far. OU will start playing in the weirdly lit arena in Nassau in the Battle4Atlantis. I always hated that place for games on TV. Gonzaga and Arizona are the heavyweights there. OU plays Providence today. Other schools in the tournament are bigger in name than talent this year, but Louisville, Indiana, and WV are considerably improved from bad 2023-24 seasons. Future patsy opponents New Orleans and ArkyPB are playing at Baylor and Pacific. That'll push Memphis's NCSOS above Baylor's for sure.
  22. Alabama 85 Houston 80. ISU-Dayton tied at 79 with 2:20 left.
  23. Ok, there was a not deserved foul. Bama driving down 2. Minimal glancing contact by defender. Two fts awarded. Now a tie game with 22 seconds left.
  24. What a war going on in Vegas. 56 fouls called so far, and nearly all of them deserved. Houston up 2 with 4:30 to go and ball. Make that and ft coming after foul 57 called. Both teams in double bonus of course.
  25. Bama in the bonus with 14+ minutes to go.
