  1. Rewrite of history, Mack was 5-7 after the Colt’s Senior season. He had no clue what he was doing by then. He was impressed with Bama and wanted to move the program into that style of play whereas Saban would adapt to the modern age of football. Patterson didn’t recruit the talented bunch Brown left Charlie. Patterson was a bad hire and not moving on from Mack in 2011 was a bad decision. 2010 1-6 in Big 12 2011. 4-5 2012 5-4 2013 7-2 but still lost 5 total. His last ten years in CFB he averaged 5 losses a year. Those are the facts. Nice man. Got lucky once with Vince. Raise your hand who should be the ambassador of Texas Football, Mack or Vince?
  2. Arch is injured again? That is how many times since last weekend?
  3. Yawn! Mike Gundy is at Okie State, Bill Synder at KSU. And they won more important games than Brown won at North Carolina. Greg Schiano is at Rutgers. Brown just another average coach who landed a great gig at Texas, and then could barely finish second in the South Division most years. One thing about his time at NC, second time, and Texas., his departures were the same. He was forced out.
  4. Yawn, he took over a talented roster and won nothing for seven years. Lost to OU five in a row. Got blown out by OU four times. And when he left, it took a decade to get over the mess, he left behind. Yes, he won a national championship. I give him his due for that he deserves for that but he is just notch above Larry Coker, Gene Chizek, and Lloyd Carr other national championship coaches. He ain’t no Bill McCartney who built a program from the bottom to the top. He is no Dabo. Of course, he is not even in Stoops league. He is an average as coaches who landed at the right program at the right time. His record at North Carolina tells you about how good of coach he really is. In 35 seasons finished in the top ten six times. Stoops in 18 finished 11 times and 5 times in a row from 2000 to 2004. We don’t need him to be our ambassador. Sark is our ambassador.
  5. Mack needs to be recognized when they honor the 2005 team this year. Other than that he needs to stay out of the limelight. I don’t care to see him or hear from him.
  6. I defended Quinn always, and the only thing that I think people need to do is realize that Arch wasn’t going to take us any further the last two years than QE did. However, Arch is young, and I think he will get better. It would help him (the team) if we could run better and if another receiver would step up, but there is time for another WR to step. Well 2 more cupcakes before Florida and Dirt Robbers.
  7. His problem with the players is the players. They are Saban kids, and they don’t want to play for him and probably nobody else either. Bama should have hired someone they were familiar with. Last year, he had to play Milroe. The team would have revolted. Milroe didn’t fit his scheme. So, he is a year behind with Simpson. Not having Grubbs hurt too but if a head coach needs particular guys to be successful than there will be a problem eventually once the guy gets an opportunity to get his own gig, which is one reason Saban was successful. It would eventually be the downfall of Mack at the end. He could not get the coordinator on the same page with him.
  8. In a game where there might not be any points scored by half, you kick FG. Except for OSU’s wideouts, Sayin is bunch were raw. They were not going to score more than 17. Take the points in that type of game.
  9. Good thoughts but the problem was Sark not kicking two field goals. He placed more pressure on his inexperienced offense to chase those six points the in the fourth quarter. If he had those six points, he could have, though not necessary, after Parker’s TD gone for two. Whatever, he did after that TD, on that last drive, he only needs a FG to win the game, not a miracle TD to go to OT. OSU would have had to defend the field differently. Smart people knew this game was a one-score game differential, except Sark. On the road, defending national champs, and he was throwing sure points away. This is not the first time because OU 2023 is another example.
  10. You don’t get it. When we needed it, he didn’t get it. You don’t understand Ohio State’s defensive game plan, but I get it the nuances of football, the average fan doesn’t get. It appears Sark doesn’t either since he doesn’t understand the importance of kicking field goals.
  11. It is clear that Jeff, Bobby, CJ, Gerry have no clue. Read their posts. Listen to the You Tube channels. I would think Rod should since he played the game. Hopefully, Erwin and Shipley do. However most press people are as brain dead as Sark. None of won’t ask the right question at he press conference. What question is that? Sark, why not take the points? Field goals are not bad, not against very good teams. You left 6 points off the board in a game that was going to be low scoring and a probably a one score game. Guess what? You were chasing those points in the fourth quarter. if you had those six points, you might have gone for two after Parker’s TD, though not necessary because of time. However, you ended up having to get a touchdown at the end of the game whereas a field goal would have been easier to achieve against a salty defense. They would have had to defend the field differently. Your arrogance cost your kids the game. Cost them a decent chance to win the game Instead of needing a miracle to go into overtime. You need to make better decisions. This is not the first time. For example against OU, if you had taken a FG in 2023 instead of running Brooks or throwing a pass to a 160 pound WR behind the line of scrimmage, you could have tried to get a FG on that last drive instead of chasing a TD. Guess what? No one would be recalling that failed goal line attempt. Play to win th game. Tell your kids three points are good points, very good points. You writers, blog guys, at the press conference will get stupid and ask the *** wrong questions about red zone problems because it appears you don’t understand the purpose of the game either instead of asking Sark why did you not take the points in a game on the road against the defending national champs. You had an inexperienced QB, OL, even WRs, and instead of helping them, you put them in the hole. Then after he answers, yada, yada because he is going to give some stupid answer to defend his dumb decisions. Just one writer needs to ask? So your bad decisions not to take the points cost your team the game? I am not crying for a new coach or a new play caller but a coach who understands the basic game of football.
  12. Don’t over due that run game. Ohio State wasn’t worried about Wisner. He was slow and hesitant.
  13. See if you could do the birth by Zoom call. Perhaps tOSU could put it in the big board for you. Just tell your wife to wave.
  14. I meant to say Gerry is great on evaluating recruits even kids who don’t commit to Texas.
  15. I like Coffee and Football and listen a little bit every day. However, I think Inside Texas has great guys on the X and O’s of the game. Both are pro Texas no doubt but Bobby Burton tries to be fair about things. C.J. Is good but perhaps more homer. Gerry is great on recruits, all recruits even on Texas kids. The It guys shoot straight, and Ian knows how the game is played. 247 they are good overall.,
