Was just going over a few hypotheticals and there is a chance that after week 14 the SEC could have 6 teams standing at 10-2 if;
Alabama (wins out)
Georgia (wins out)
Texas (loses to Texas A&M)
Ole Miss (wins out)
LSU (wins out)
Tennessee (loses to Georgia then wins out)
How would this workout for us in terms of the SEC title game and the playoffs. I believe if we lose to A&M we don't make the SEC championship game, but regardless, in this scenario the team that plays A&M in the sec title game will be 10-2 when entering the game. If that team comes out as 10-3 would this loss eliminate them from playoff contention? Was talking to a friend about this hypothetical and they had my brain churning when claiming that if this is the actual record for the SEC teams come week 14, Texas would probably miss out on the playoffs due to strength of schedule and quality wins.
