  1. i bet we make a run to sweet sixteen/elite 8 by some miracle from God and he is given another year
  2. I must be in a fever dream. JAYSON KENT HAS 17 POINTS?!!
  3. i need to cope for this atrocity of a team i’ve watched since last Tuesday. For those who have followed texas for a while, recommend me some amazing games to watch from previous seasons that are classics. (except UNC 2015 and Gonzaga 2022)
  4. fine. Tramon Mark is playing like a lifetime fitness basketball league player
  5. this is pathetic. Mark can't hit a three to save his life and same with kaluma.
  6. I am praying one day Jayson Kent can show me one redeeming quality he has that calls for him to have a roster spot.
  7. Tre Johnson is committing arson tonight🔥
  8. why do I allow myself to be emotionally invested in this team
  9. Mojitos usually, other choice would be probably be coke and rum.
  10. could not ask for a better rundown of it. Thanks for the explanation🤘
  11. I started to dive into Texas basketball history recently and saw that Rick Barnes was the winningest coach in Texas history and was even at Texas longer than Mack Brown was being at UT for 17 years. I was in 5th grade when he was fired and did not start watching Texas basketball until Shakas Smarts first year, so I am not knowledgeable about what the general consensus was in the Texas community regarding Rick Barnes at the time. I am just curious as to what was the public opinion like about the decision back then and what the reasoning was for firing him. Was it similar to the reason Texas fired Mack Brown? Bonus question: Would y'all have prefered he was still the Texas coach or was it the right move.
  12. im not one to complain about refs but that was a horrible officiating job.
  13. the crazy part of all of this... A&M only made 1 three pointer and beat us by 20 in the first matchup. This could get ugly🫠
  14. Thats whats up, and hey speaking of Gilbert 2010 was my first season watching Texas. I would go a different direction with Garrett Gilbert, I think if he never got thrown into the fire in pasadena he would have done better. That game I feel killed his confidence and watching what film is available from that season he had such a tendency to stare down his receivers bad. You were probably able to see things Im not able to with the limited film available from that year, But it was hard for me to find any flashes other than the second half of the championship game when he almost completed the comeback. Another thing to add, its a miracle what we were able to do on offense in the 2000's with Greg Davis as OC😂
  15. All good no apologies needed, I was in 1st-3rd grade when he was QB so I do not remember it like you do, I was just going based off the memory I had. Appreciate the respect and I wish Jerrod Heard would have panned out. Watching that Cal performance was something of magic.
  16. Very possible, lets hope we do everything you said except lose in the swamp
  17. aight bro chill out, all I said was he is a good receiver and stats do not mean everything, no position is that black and white also i never said that Sark was looking him or we should pursue him.
  18. Don't think that is too hot of a take. But i definitely can see that
  19. Wow. I have never thought about this. Gilbert was my first QB and it makes sense. I feel bad for him being thrown in the fire vs Bama definitely messed his career up. Do not get my started with the Quinn hate, it is probably the most mind-numbing, braindead thing I have ever seen from a fanbase. They are acting like we are 5-7 when in reality he led us to two semi-finals appearances. Unfortunately, the loudest members of a fanbase are usually the ones who are "Casuals". I understand the Quinn haters are mostly the bandwagons we now have that just want a Manning to play. Just really bothers me that the QB who allowed me to finally see what Texas football at the top is like, is getting so much undeserved hate. Anyways I digress, good take👍
  20. Greathouse has been a very good receiver throughout his college career.
  21. I felt that way about last years team. Imagine the backfield with both Bijan and Jonathan Brooks. It would have been nice to have him in the later stretch with Brooks getting injured. Even a Demarvion Overshown to be a leader for the linebackers/ secondary would have been huge.
  22. What are the hottest takes yall have had throughout your time as a Longhorn fan regarding Texas Football that most Texas fans would probably disagree with. i'll Start, If David Ash never had the injury problem he did, he would have been a top 5 QB in history for the program and Texas would have gone to at least one NY6/BCS bowl game.
  23. Other than 4th and 13 and beating A&M, I gotta say seeing Texas ranked number 1 earlier in the season. I had never seen them ranked #1 and finally seeing it for the first time was an amazing feeling.
  24. I am not watching it, I tried watching the national championship last year and simply couldn't, it will make me sick to my stomach.
