I like this place and don't have any plans on leaving. As far as changes, any measures to distill the important news items into short and easily digestible formats would be appreciated on my end. This would help whenever I'm really busy and can't spend much time on the board or when there's a lot happening all at once. Hook 'em

I'd be a fan of more Mods only threads, especially when there's a lot going on. Otherwise, Bobby's daily threads are good enough for me. I've had a hard time keeping up with the latest portal news because I don't live on here and I'm not going to read through 100 pages to get the relevant info. It would be nice if there was a way to just click on Bobby or Gerry's profiles and read their comments only, but as of right now, it's polluted with a bunch of irrelevant stuff like every single post they've liked, and it's not a viable way of getting key information.

I'm neither a sunshine pumper nor a doomsdayer, but as of right this moment, a scenario where we end up with less talent than we had heading into portal season seems like a very real possibility. It could be that Sark and Co. have things under control in the background and all we need is patience, but it's hard for me to be optimistic.

All it takes is a handful of high-volume shitposters. I saw it happen at another Horns site I was a part of for over a decade. I've seen it happen on other forums unrelated to sports. Mods have to be diligent about weeding those people out early before they infect the entire community.

I don't normally do tee-vee outside of football season. I've signed up for a Sling season pass the past two years and it's worked fine for college football. I understand Fubo also includes Astros/Rockets games in the Houston area. Any recommendations?

I was on OB for about a decade. I thought their discussion forum was top tier for most of that run, particularly the off topic threads. There were always knowledgeable professionals chiming in, whether the topic was law, medicine, finance, business, or something else entirely. Then it got taken over by a dozen or so high-volume sh*t posters and I no longer saw any value in it. Their YouTube content is atrocious. I'm still on IT but won't be renewing my subscription. It's not that it's awful, but it's duplicative of OTF content, and I prefer Bobby and Gerry's no-nonsense approach.

Any news on Kelvin Banks and Manny Muhammad's injuries?
