  1. Marcus Harris checking out that first unit offense.
  2. Very unfortunate. S'maje is a great kid. Got caught on the wrong end of a few bounces and now he is playing from behind the eight ball a bit.
  3. Burrell had plans to enter the portal on Monday when the window opened. The linebacker out of North Crowley had been dealing with a back injury for most of the offseason and just recently added a shoulder injury to his report after a day in the weight room last week. To add to the fact, Burrell was not seeing eye to eye with Sarkisian from earlier in the offseason as well. Following the news of the Sweat incident, there was little to ponder about for Sarkisian. Burrell was announced on Tuesday to no longer be a member of the Texas Football program. He will officially enter the portal on Monday, the 15th.
  4. I see a shorter Jonathon Brooks with his vision, cutting ability and balance.
  5. LBJ has extremely average vertical rise with his pitch at 16 inches vertical movement. For guys in the MLB that average 95 mph on their fastballs, you see a mark round 18.5"– 19.5". Point being, there is no jump or extra juice on the fastball for LBJ. Looking at the BYU start last Thursday, BYU's lineup sat dead red on the fastball and hit four to the tennis courts.
  6. Few things, on LBJ. He throws hard, but he has not secondary pitch. LBJ's fastball is extremely flat. There is not side to side movement, there is no jump. Kids see 95 mph every weekend now, it just doesn't have the same juice as it once was. LBJ certainly hasn't helped himself with the body language as of late either. The Texas State showing Tuesday night was abysmal. Texas would be better off with a new Friday night starter.
  7. Check it off the bingo card.
  8. I won't say Texas will go all in, but I am expecting contact to be made. Colorado, SMU, LSU are others I expect to be making some noise here.
  9. Tiki Hola's Hudl. A fun watch: https://www.hudl.com/video/3/18354729/653e99ef5b3cca0de861d744
  10. Hola was also joined by 2025 WR Keyshon Moore who holds a UTEP offer at the moment. Moore hauled in 1119 yards and 15 TD on 49 receptions a year ago for Bastrop.
  11. Among the big visit from 2025 Lewisville five-star OL Michael Fasusi, Texas also played host to an important trench member from the state of Texas Tuesday morning. 2026 Bastrop DL Tiki Hola was on campus with the Longhorns today. Hola has been a familiar name as of late. The Bastrop three-tech earned an offer from the Texas staff back in June of 2023 and visited campus for the January 20 Junior Day this winter. Texas stopped by in the winter twice to check out the Bears and Hola now gets back to campus for the first time since Kenny Baker's arrival. This is shaping up to be an important 2026 recruitment.

  13. I thoroughly enjoyed the eclipse.
  14. Several Longhorn draft hopefuls are on the move this morning to visit with NFL franchises ahead of this month's NFL Draft. WR Xavier Worthy is in Chicago meeting with the Bears who have picks 1, 9 and 75. A move would have to be made for Worthy to end up there. Former Texas RB Jonathon Brooks had a meeting today with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and will be heading up the east coast to meet with the Carolina Panthers. The Bucs hold picks 26, 57, 89 and 92. While the Panthers possess 33, 39, 65 and 101. DT T'Vondre Sweat, who had a rocky weekend, is headed to Tennessee at the moment. The Titans hold picks 7, 38 and 106.

  15. Welcome all!
  16. Working on that! Sorry for the quality yesterday
  17. Precautionary more than anything. A bit dinged up on Friday so the staff didn't want him to push things.
  18. There was a common theme amongst recruits in attendance at the first scrimmage of the spring yesterday – Texas plays and practices physically. It is a necessity in the world of SEC football and from the first returns, it appears the tone is being set nine practices into the spring. In our conversations with recruits yesterday, it brought up time and time again. *** WR Dakorien Moore – Duncanville (TX) "Definitely the freshman that just got here, Ryan Wingo. Oh my God, I have never seen him play before, but I had been hearing he is a really good player. But he is big and he makes plays for real." WR Kaliq Lockett – Sachse (TX) "My boy, Johntay (Cook) stood out as always. Even Ryan Wingo, the freshman, he is legit... Definitely who stood out to me was the running back Jaydon Blue. He was running that thing today." WR Jaime Ffrench – Jacksonville (FL) "I loved it. Really just getting to see Coach Jackson in person and see how he is as a person, that was really my main focus on getting out here. "My boy (Isaiah) Bond. Definitely Ryan Wingo, he is a young cat standing out early for sure. He is a great guy, I have been knowing him for a while. Just watching him get out there was always cool." OL Jordan Coleman – Cedar Hill (TX) Coleman said he was shocked watching a Texas offensive lineman pick up and bury a defensive player on a designed run play. "One of those (offensive linemen), I'm not going to lie, he drilled him into the ground. I was like "daaaang!" And then there was another tight end on the sidelines, he tried to hurdle somebody. I think it was number 85 – he tried to hurdle two players, I was like, 'Are you crazy?!' He almost had it too." OL Tyler Thomas – Dickinson (TX) "The pace of practice was really fast, if I end up here I would have to adapt to that really quick. I like that though because you get to get through practice quick. It was really nice." Thomas mentioned watching a lot of Kelvin Banks and Cam Williams during the scrimmage. DL Zion Williams – Lufkin (TX) "Getting to see those dudes get coached by Coach Baker was something pretty cool. Especially when they got out there to teams (period) – in our teams (period) at school we don't get to hit each other. But to see them be super competitive and hit each other like that and not get mad about really did show me how well connected those guys are. I know a few people if they got hit like that on the football field at practice some helmets would be flying. So it showed me they are dedicated to making each other better as a whole." DL Joshua Lewis – Geismar (LA) "What stood out to me was it was very apparent why they are going to the SEC. They are really competitive. Everybody is big everywhere but out here it was very apparent. They are aggressive up front and a well-established team. I liked how they practiced. Lewis mentioned a drill during practice with three OL and three DL lined up together with a RB and LB behind each line to resemble a trench look as a drill he really enjoyed watching. LB Elijah Barnes – Dallas (TX) "I liked the intensity that they brought and the energy that they brought to practice. It was high energy with a lot of people moving around fast. They were getting after it today." CB Aidan Anding – Ruston (LA) "Oh, it was physical. Them boys were getting after it. I liked how the defense was doing their thing out there today. For the most part I felt like they won the day. So yeah, I liked the physicality out there." 2026 QB Troy Huhn – San Marcos (CA) "During the scrimmage (the quarterbacks) all looked really good, they are going to kill it this year and it is going to be fun to watch. They do RPO's often and I use that in my high school a lot. So they will play action a lot for those deep crossing routes and deep corners. It is a really exciting offense and really explosive offense as well. It is a quarterback system also, it is quarterback driven. It would be really fun if I were to play here." 2026 RB Raycine Guillory Jr. "My big impression was the flow of practice and how everybody has to move quickly. Just seeing Coach Choice in action and being the person that everybody wants to see. Coach Choice, he is just a great guy. Seeing him on the field and off the field, he is the same person and I love that."

  20. I heard Quinn was very efficient in the red zone yesterday and as a result the offense had plenty of success. Touchdowns will make all the difference this year and will turn close games into blow outs. So far, a step in the right direction for the development of the offense in the red area.
  21. LB S’Maje Burrell left the facility in a sling.
  22. A few more updates have been added. Great note about Arch Manning and Amari Niblack connecting for a TD.
