They have the fewest 300+ pound iDL of any team in the country at the moment. Though they are trending for Louisville portal DT Jermayne Lole.

Three commitments in 10 months normally does not inspire a lot of confidence. There is some extra maturation needed here for Wilson.

The issue is pitching doesn't grow on trees, nor does it just show up 60% of the way through the season. However, there is plenty of pop in these bats and Texas can get hot with the lineup against just about anyone.

Texas scored eight runs in the 9th inning Sunday afternoon to take care of business 13–8. Conference series seemingly always start off rocky for the Longhorns, yet here we are with another series victory. Texas improves to 22–15 on the season with a 9–6 record in Big 12 play. The Longhorns sit alone in 4th place in the conference at the moment as well, behind West Virginia and Oklahoma (11–4) and Oklahoma State (10–5). With five conference series remaining, there remains plenty of opportunity for Texas to find consistency before the postseason begins.
