  1. Texas WR and draft hopeful Jordan Whittington will not be partaking in the on-field drills at the NFL Combine this weekend. Whittington spoke with reporters Friday morning ahead of the wide receivers day Saturday. The reason for the former Cuero star to not participate during the Reese's Senior Bowl was due to a hamstring injury he suffered in training. That issue has since lingered to the NFL Combine. Whittington will only participate in the bench press this weekend in Indianapolis, before using the Texas Pro Day as one final on-field audition for NFL scouts. View full news
  2. The Dallas cowboys have had informal meetings with a pair of Texas wide receivers in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. The Cowboys pick No. 24 and No. 58, a bit of a challenge with where both Texas wide receivers are currently mocked.
  3. It's a head scratcher. Wonder if he tweaked anything during the jumps. No word just yet.
  4. Gerry and I got together tonight to recap the Combine performances from T'Vondre Sweat and Byron Murphy this afternoon in Indianapolis. LB Jaylan Ford went through his measurements plus the vertical and broad jump but did not run or do field drills.

  9. You will see anything in the 1.6's as a good time. For Sweat, anything below 1.75 would be a plus. Murphy will probably see a 1.65 time.
  10. What a quote from Byron Murphy here!

  16. Both Niblack and Sanders exited college at 230+ pounds, plus spent time in the trenches at times. Neither is the case so far for Terry who spends most of his snaps in the backfield at QB/RB.
  17. The hold up with Texas and Terry that I see is he does not fit the traditional mold of WRs that Texas has recruited since Sarkisian has arrived – Aaron Butler, Johntay Cook, Ryan Niblett, Freddie Dubose and even the portal adds. Terry is tremendous with the ball in his hands. My question is – does the burst and acceleration line up with what Texas has pursued in the past? Plus, he mentioned that Chris Jackson has yet to reach out consistently.
  18. I was leaning that way as well. The earlier the OV is locked in, the more I believe the staff is pushing. That changes case to case obviously, but there is a reason why they were pushed to get one set so early.
  19. I love him as a long-term WR.
  20. With you all the way
