  1. He and Peyton Houston out of Shreveport are the two that Texas have offered in the class. Edmonds lit it up at the Elite Camp on June 1. Ohio State has the advantage, but Edmonds is expected on campus for the Georgia game later this season. He very well could end up being the No. 1 QB in the country for his class, my pick for the spot early on.
  2. None other than Mr. Barry Bonds.
  3. Wafle also told me he was able to speak with Coach Kwiatkowski, Coach Flood and Coach Sarkisian on the trip. Of course, as I mentioned above, Flood is the area recruiter and was the first contact he had with a Texas coach.
  4. I tend to agree. Heck of a football player, and Texas doing great early on.
  5. I'll say he didn't come close to buying in fully to comeback as the guy he was preinjury. He looked like that guy at Nebraska week one though.
  6. Caught up briefly with Wafle, who had a very positive experience at Texas: “The game atmosphere exceeded my expectations,” Wafle told OTF. “And the football team in general just had a fire about them. It looks like they’re about to have a really good season.“

  8. 2026 Hun School (NJ) LB Luke Wafle was on campus over the weekend for the season opener against Colorado State. Wafle is a top-100 national prospect and was on campus at the end of July for the Pool Bash. Kyle Flood is the area recruiter and found him this spring. This is a great sign for the Longhorns to get Wafle on campus here. Texas has a real chance.
  9. Glad Neyor finally took his ACL rehab and recovery seriously. Glad to see him have a big debut at Nebraska.
  10. That does it for this week's presser!
  11. Sarkisian says without question the environment at DKR is better than where it was week one when he first took over. Says the product on the field is much better, but also tips his cap to the administration for marketing the program as well as they have.
  12. Sarkisian says he and his program has generated a really positive buzz around the program. "There is genuine excitement." Sark also tips his cap to the administration.
  13. On the line moving to 6.5 points in favor of Texas. Sarkisian says National Champs, 23 straight, 16 straight at home, 3 straight playoff appearances will keep the team focused and not let the outside noise get to the locker room.
  14. Sarkisian says a lot of plays that Texas has in the gameplan for Michigan were in place early in fall camp for Texas to deploy in a real game.
  15. Sarkisian says he has a lot of analytics that the staff dives into for preparation. "Sometimes as a coach, I like to go with my gut. Sometimes I feel some things and see something different than a computer."
  16. Sarkisian says Ewers was incredibly calm after his INT. Says he came to the sideline and completely brushed it off. However, the command remained and the efficiency in the red area showed up. Sarkisian says it is a byproduct of his comfortability. "I thought he threw the ball on time to the right people."
  17. Sarkisian on some of the interior defensive linemen: "Alfred and Vernon played well, like they do." "Jermayne Lole showed us some things. Alex January was a "pleasant surprise."
  18. Sarkisian on the upcoming game against Michigan: "Because of the (CFP) format, we like this matchup even more." Points to these type of games are why you come to Texas, to play marquee matchups against big time programs. "What I think Saturday will do for us is serve as a barometer for where we are at as a football team."
  19. "We know this is a heck of a challenge. We know this will be a four quarter game."
  20. Sarkisian praised Michigan's program at the beginning: “You don’t go to three straight College Football Playoffs if you don’t have a great program.”
