  1. I like his show and his film breakdowns. He's got a good brand going for the space he occupies in the college football world. And yes, he's a homer for Georgia that's trying to expand his market to covering other programs, but the Georgia homerisms still slip out all the time. I find him to be a lot like Kirby and the rest of the Georgia fan base. Remarkably thin skinned given their historical and recent success. Being at every Georgia game last year you could sense that they weren't confident in themselves like the fanbase was in Tuscaloosa. Hell, those fans helped us take photos celebrating in their stadium. Georgia was much more Sooner-ish with the constant horns down and stupid nonsense at the end of our OT loss in Atlanta. We needed to win that game this year to shut them up but alas it has to wait for another opportunity. Really wish Burt woulda make that kick.
  2. I’ll take ten extra practices and a game in December against another top five all time wins program. The offseason is long.
  3. Great person. Needs to find a fresh start somewhere or stick around as a culture fit. But if we are relying on him to be a difference maker against Ohio state in game two that would be an unthinkable mistake.
  4. We just missed the window where McCombs and Jamail would have been our “NIL Billionaires.” Mack would have won 7 natties with those dudes being able to buy rosters.
  5. Welcome to the giant four year question mark.
  6. Crazy what an offseason of going all in on the portal can do.
  7. Brooks needs to be groomed to take over for Goosby or Baker and we need new SEC quality portal starters at LG, C and RG. Think DT the past two offseasons. We need war daddy’s if we want to go into this Ohio State game in austin in 9 months with a chance to get that monkey off our back.
  8. 9 of 19? Yikes if true.
  9. Coleman > Williams
  10. 10 wins is definitely something that will be part of defining Sark’s run, however it winds up. 12-2, 13-3, 10-3 looks a lot better than 9-4 in that last spot.
  11. My two cents. He fills a need at OT when and if Goosby declares which is hopefully after one more season. But for next season we aren’t in dire need of OTs as much as front line starters at LG, C and RG in the portal.
  12. Whether those dudes stay or portal I’m not sure you go into the Ohio state game thinning they are difference makers. And that should be our number one priority for building around Arch to start next season. Difference makers in the Ohio State game. Nothing less.
  13. I’ll just say this. Sark was on a roll with the portal when he started building around Ewers. Getting AD was the perfect pairing to X. Getting Golden was a stroke of genius and paring him with Bond was an elite move. Arch deserves those kinds of first round draft picks around him at Texas. Yes, OL is priority one. But getting an elite RB1 who defenses have to game plan around and getting a WR1 who can take the top off a defense is also imperative if we are wanting to really go all in and maximize our time with Arch. So far we’ve let him down imo.
  14. Here’s my only hypothetical: 1. Ohio State (BIG) 2. Indiana 3. Georgia (SEC) 4. Virginia (ACC) 5. G5 winner 6. Oregon 7. Texas Tech (B12) 8. Texas A&M 9. Ole Miss 10. Miami 11. Notre Dame 12. Texas 1) We have to be ranked over Utah, Vandy and OU on Tuesday night for this to work. 2) Bama gets destroyed in SECCG game committee picks 9-3 Texas over 10-3 Bama 3) BYU 11-2 big loss to Tech - OUT 4) Utah, OU and Vandy get shafted.
  15. All valid points but it’s a tough argument to win when there are so few spots available: 1. Ohio State 2. Indiana 3. Georgia 4. ACC champ 5. G5 team 6. Oregon 7. Texas Tech 8. Texas A&M 9. Ole Miss (May be effected by coaching) 10. (another G5 conference if Duke wins ACC) 11. 12. So you're basically looking at 2, maybe 3, maybe 4 spots between: Miami 10-2 Notre Dame 10-2 BYU 11-1 OU 10-2 Alabama 10-3 (if losing to Georgia, if not they're both in) Utah 10-2 Vandy 10-2 Texas 9-3
  16. Stop lying about my predictions to try and bolster your horrible point.
  17. I know it’s hard for you to keep track but we’re talking about deficiencies on the team not being addressed. The consequences of not addressing them in the offseason (which you repeatedly accused as pants pissing) caused us to be sitting at home holding our dicks this December and January. It’s universally recognized by all of Longhorn nation that it was a mistake. It’s okay to admit it. It’s not your fault. Say it….
  18. That’s what you were saying all last offseason. How’d that go tough guy?
  19. LSU is gonna be a problem in recruiting.
  20. Not Gerry but I’d get one veteran insurance RB in the portal that buys you half the season while Cooper gets up to speed. You can’t go into Ohio State game in austin expecting a freshman to carry the load. Wisner will be a great change of pace but we need a dog who runs hard between the tackles.
  21. The wins in Dallas and last night are better than any non natty CFP win imo. We already hit some major goals this year. The Florida loss cooked us in the CFP but now we can focus on building this roster around Arch for next year. Ohio State in Austin looms just 9 months away. Let’s fix our OL and get some serious difference makers around Arch so we’re not hitting 100+ national rankings of ineptitude on offense next season.
  22. Give me Baugh at RB while we groom Cooper. 2-3 SEC starter quality interior OL 1-2 burner WRs who can create separation and take the top off a defense. Defer to others on our defensive needs.
  23. Ewers was definitely asked to move on by the staff. That’s not even debated. And yeah the others would have required massive investment to keep around for a season but that sounds like what Ohio State did in keeping their 2024 squad together. It obviously paid off.
  24. I think you’ll see a much more aggressive strategy of mitigating dead money on the roster this offseason. There were many calling for an overhaul of the RB room last year and some (myself included) questioning the plan on the OL coming out of spring. The resources to allocate are not always found in more donations but a recalibrating of the money you already have invested in the roster.
