  1. He's now the team leader in minutes, points, rebounds, assists, steals and turnovers.
  2. I hope Im wrong and you're right. We know what we're getting night in and night out from Mark, Swain and to a degree Heide and Weaver. The rest is a crapshoot. Pope will always need a pick to get space but his 12 foot pull up is nice. Reminds me of Felix's. In regards to Matas I'm curious if you saw the opening tip against GA?
  3. If this was a young team a lack of focus makes sense and a possible big improvement coming as the season progresses, but this is a very experienced group of players. 4 Sr's, 3 Jr's and 1 Soph. Focus shouldn't be an issue and I'm just not optimistic we're going to get more consistent.
  4. I think he's a longshot.
  5. Now that's what NIL is all about!
  6. Great post! We can certainly condemn Riley now, but to Gerry's point, we can't totally excoriate him for a couple seasons. Is there a right and wrong way to construct your roster yet? Will the current structure of NIL hold? Big picture, it's time to figure out how to get a commissioner in place, tweak the playoffs and completely blow up NIL and start over with guard rails.
  7. Pretty salty Oline from the '22 Westlake team. Robertson, Lynch, Shanahan. Westlake followers may know this....Who was Klubnik throwing passes to in 7th and 8th grade? Max Walters, Colgate and Isiah Sategna, OU. Both moved out of state prior to 9th grade.
  8. Wow thx Im not familiar with Miller enough to know if this is his normal MO. I will assume its not and he's at the end of the rope because his teams been playing like this all season. Theyre not getting any better.
  9. Danks, Krivacs, Baxter, Branyon, Thompson, Dotson, Cunningham, Willock, Cooper, Turner, BMW etc. Fun memories of a different era. I watched probably 90% of Longhorn bb games going back to about the start of the Barnes era. The last 3 seasons Ive watched about 25% of the games. I just dont have a connection with the players anymore. We dont see FR grow and develop into JR's and SR's anymore. It's become pick up bb. Who's got next? I'll take Miller over Terry all day, but this team is not young and developing, its an experienced group of players and I believe we're already at their ceiling and its not good. Our talent level at guard is awful. Last night I watched TT vs OU rather than the Horns. I knew the outcome already.
  10. That game ended much like our last two playoff losses ended.
  11. My son was a year behind Taaffe in HS. He once told me Michael was the most popular kid at school and they called him The Mayor. There wasn't a single person that could say a bad thing about him. When he decided to walk-on at TX rather than taking a full ride from Rice I remember thinking he was making a mistake that would alter the trajectory of his life and he'd never see the field again until he transferred out. Ha! Walk On Michael, walk on!
  12. Chicken S**t Bingo at Ginnys Longhorn Saloon on Burnet Rd. Every Sunday evening. Google it. It's like a backyard party with a good band. As a first timer you definitely need to allocate as much time as you can for Bevo Blvd. pre-game.
  13. Shaka was a great hire. Everyone had been offering him over the years and he finally said yes. To us. Didnt work out but great hire.
  14. Agreed. I go all the way back to the Krivaks, Baxter, Branyon, Lasalle T days and for the first time I checked out on the program. I really liked Terry the man, but there was a reason he was a .500 coach at Fresno and UTEP.
