  1. Love the S16 banner! Barnes had us in rare air. Five Sweet 16's in seven years. Programs that could make the claim in the same timespan.....Duke, Kansas, Pittsburg and Texas.
  2. Barnes scooped him up right under the noses of the blue bloods. Great eval
  3. Had never heard that. Thanks for posting! The bit about the Pac 10 names vs the SEC biblical names got me good!
  4. Is this an upgrade from Wilcher?
  5. When your a role player and will never sniff even the euro leagues, NIL is your ticket to getting ahead in life. Spitballing the #'s here, but if TX wants you to stick around for $250K and your agent says we can get you + $100K you go.
  6. Nic Codie grew on me the last couple of weeks. He has qualities that show up when he gets decent minutes. Good passer, good IQ, good shot selection. I think he's a solid piece on a good team.
  7. The strength of that conference is in it's basketball programs and the last thing the tournament needed was a gimmack. What an idiotic move by Yormark. I guess a leopard cant change its spots.
  8. What's the purpose? Non basketball viewers tuning in to see the court? For the fans in attendance? I don't get why this court is needed by a premier conference tournament, the games stand on their own. I remember playing on dusty gym floors and it would completely negate the advantage of quickness and sharp cutting. I watched two different games yesterday on that glass court and the loss of traction on almost every possession was real. It's amazing the B12 rolled that out, especially for this event. Fran Frashilla and his sidekick made or were forced to make it a non-issue. My guess is the coaches/AD's made it a huge issue behind the scenes and got the change.
  9. Lebron is all about his brand. Jordan was only about winning.
  10. Agreed. I saw him play one game this season, Austin High and I was a bit disappointed. I was told post game it was his worst showing of the season. I'll keep my expectations in check and hope that Gerry is more accurate with his projections than I am. 😛
  11. There was alot of chatter at the time regarding the first pick. Oden vs Durant. Just prior to the draft, I met a former NBA player at one of my wife's work events and we had a great debate on how successful Durant would be. He basically argued Durant wasnt strong enough to survive the pounding of the NBA. I kept telling him, it wouldn't matter, Durant was a guard.
  12. Was it a doe or a buck? It matters
  13. My Mount Rush Smore Mangino Majerus Weiss Elko

Pearl Washington was always one of my faves. If you never saw him play think JCovan Brown.
