    I see what you’re saying but losing Brooks and Barnes at positions we are already very light in is not good, especially when they have so much potential. Keeping them helps not have as much turnover next year.

    I do, they know more than any of us ever will. The mods know a ton too, they are the between fans and staff essentially. That is just why I believe there is a reason it was emphasized about Seaton. Especially after they said the Ole Miss guard had to show up in the portal (resigned today) and Brunner is staying in the midwest. I think if he shows up in the portal we are swinging for the fences because the lure the player in the portal method has not worked.

    He is out. Brunner is not leaving the midwest. We offered Sprague 1.5 million and he said no. Go get Seaton for the said price and move Baker inside. There is not really another high level option so far.

    I wish we would look at Emeka Ugorji. Freshman started some games for Stanford from SOC, played both right tackle and guard. He’s got a Florida Visit.

    I agree, the ones who stayed either did not get a pay cut or are bought in. It is not a bad plan, but we need to use the extra cash around. I know agents are going to do what is best for their clients and try to drive the price up. Just think since we need some second tier guys, go a head and get a 1b running back and 1b receiver committed that you like then go big game hunting for 1a targets since you need multiple of each.

    Exactly, we deemed 3 guys who were locker room staples and upcoming seniors too expensive to retain and we are looking to upgrade in the portal. How much more was it to retain the ones we cannot lose like the ones listed above? Maybe they asked for those demands because they heard some numbers.

    Here are the other questions that must bring a thought process. How much money is being allocated to the current roster? We have 3 high level receivers that did not contribute much this year. 3 high level defensive lineman that did not play much this year. Then the obvious ones how much was it to retain Colin, Trevor, Jelani, and Hero? Also how much to bring in both Cooper and Atkinson who we came out of nowhere for?

    I believe it would be a good take, Cunningham may not end up a linebacker and Okpala may end up more of Trey Moore or Brad Spence role. Not a lot of true linebackers.
