I mean all of us probably have a nephew or dad/mom connections to a , Tech etal. Another question , you think a few years down the road, Texas will garner some new following from fans of the Texas Big12 teams?

    6 regular season left, probably favored solidly in 2, one tossup and 3…well. Tuesday is Iowa State at home, feels like a must win. If not, 2-4 and ending 17-11, 6-9 conference is a bubble popper. So must win Tuesday, amirite?

    The border states are a given but to say which ones outside the LSU,Ark etal, Missouri is very hatable.

    It’s still class, eventually that won’t be required anymore than an office worker in the administration building.

    Depressing. Wonder how many years until they don’t have to attend class. Players aren’t limited to eligibility years and can play as long as they want, or, as early as they want, leaving HS as a junior to sign with the highest bidder. There’s a reason I never watched the NFL much and only college and HS. HS is next.

    One of these days I would like to impart what following recruiting was like 4 to 5 decades ago. The evenings scanning radio channels hoping to hear a staticky Max Emfinger etal, Dallas Morning News clipping of top 100 and Texas Football Magazine in hand. Those were NOT the days. Yeah I been around.

    Oh it does for sure make sense. That other site had a group of posters who thought they ran the place. This place does have a different vibe, let’s hope it stays friendly and considerate.

    You got to be a little different to go to Michigan anyway, might be harder to pry them out of there. Then I thought one had to be goofy to go to a&m and they lost a bunch so maybe not.

    Obviously unfollowed the accounts when he realized his every move is watched. Should know ,but the intensity of how players are monitored still surprises some guys. Thoughts tipped though.

    On the surface it looks like our biggest non get was the DT from UH. I would feel totally different if we had him and the Arizona DT.

    one more the youngins never got to see was Kenneth Sims. The most disruptive DT I ever saw play at UT and we had some good ones.

    From my High School and although I was a 9th grader, loved watching his senior year at Longview. He is what got me to loving UT. James F’ing Street, may he rest in peace. Secondly Earl Campbell. I feel sorry for those too young to get to see the s**t this man did play after play.
